Mr. Le Hong Minh returns to the 'hot seat' of VNG's board of directors

DNVN - On November 25, VNG Joint Stock Company (VNG) announced that Mr. Vo Sy Nhan had officially resigned from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors (BOD) of VNG from November 22, 2024 according to his personal wishes. Mr. Le Hong Minh, Founder of VNG, succeeded this position and is the legal representative of the enterprise.

In addition, in order to comply with current regulations for public companies, the Board of Directors of the Company also voted to dismiss Mr. Le Hong Minh from the position of General Director. Mr. Le Hong Minh continues to manage the general operations of VNG as Chairman of the Board of Directors and legal representative.

Mr. Le Hong Minh held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNG nearly 2 years ago (from January 1, 2023). He was honored as one of the 10 most influential leaders in Vietnam Internet (2007 - 2017) and was honored to receive a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for his positive contributions to the development of the technology sector in 2014.

Mr. Vo Sy Nhan was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNG from December 2022. He is currently the CEO of Empire City, co-founder and CEO of GAW NP Capital fund.

In the first 9 months of 2024, VNG recorded accumulated revenue of VND 6,982 billion, adjusted net profit from business operations of VND 202 billion, contributing more than VND 700 billion to the State budget. The company also recorded good performance from value-added services and AI products, while also seeing positive revenue growth from corporate customers and international markets.

In 2023, VNG will also be in the Top 30 private enterprises contributing the most to the state budget with VND 1,132.5 billion.
