In an effort to "score points" on how to handle the US economy, Mr. Biden emphasized his plan to make the tax system fairer, keeping more money in the pockets of Americans.
“No billionaire should pay a lower tax rate than a teacher,” he said. President Biden is also pushing for middle-class tax cuts.

Pennsylvania, with 19 electoral votes and voters swinging between Democrats and Republicans, is one of the most important states in the 2024 presidential election between Mr. Biden and former President Donald Trump.
After visiting his hometown, Mr. Biden continued his trip to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, aiming to contrast Mr. Trump on tax and economic policy. Meanwhile, Mr. Trump held a campaign rally in Eastern Pennsylvania last weekend.
Biden is facing concerns from voters about the US economy despite job and GDP growth, and some voters are opposed to him over the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
