According to initial information, at around 5:50 p.m. on December 23, a truck with a Hanoi license plate caught fire on the elevated Ring Road 3 (near the Khuat Duy Tien - Nguyen Trai intersection, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi).

At the time of the incident, the truck with license plate 29C-557.XX was traveling on the elevated Ring Road 3, from Linh Dam to Mai Dich Bridge. When approaching the Khuat Duy Tien - Nguyen Trai intersection, the truck suddenly caught fire. After discovering the incident, the male driver immediately jumped out of the car and used water to put out the fire but was unsuccessful.

At the scene, fire broke out fiercely in the car's cabin and quickly spread to the canvas of the truck bed.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Thanh Xuan District Police quickly mobilized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.

After about 20 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished, there were no human casualties, but property damage is being assessed.

Because the fire occurred during rush hour, the car was stuck in the middle of the road, causing a long traffic jam. Traffic Police Teams No. 7 and No. 14 diverted traffic and notified vehicles to detour to reduce congestion.

Thanh Xuan District Police are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
