In the exemplary Women's Associations

Recognizing that building the Women's Union organization is a central and continuous task, for many years, the Women's Union of Tan Tru town, Tan Tru district, Long An province has focused on innovating the content and methods of propaganda, bringing practical and legitimate benefits to its members and women. In particular, the Union has actively implemented the content and targets of the "Outstanding Women's Union Branch Award" for its members. As a result, the branches have developed effective and creative approaches that are relevant to the local socio-economic development goals.

1. Over the years, the Women's Union branch in Tan Binh neighborhood, Tan Tru town, has strived to successfully complete its tasks. This is one of the Women's Union branches that won the " Outstanding Women's Union Branch Award " for the period 2022-2024, and was recently awarded a certificate of commendation by the District People's Committee.

The branch implemented the emulation movement "Building confident, self-respecting, and aspiring women in Long An " for 100% of its cadres and members; the campaign "Building families with 5 no's and 3 clean's, contributing to nurturing Vietnamese family values"; and the three key tasks of the Women's Union with specific models: Religious Women's Group, Happy Family Club, Small Business Club, Green House, Community Communication Group, etc.

Each year, the Women's Union branch advises the neighborhood Party branch on the projects planned for the year. Once approved by the Party branch, the Women's Union branch implements, publicizes, and mobilizes its members in areas where projects need to be carried out to understand and grasp the policies of the Party Committee and the People's Committee of the town regarding the methods and approaches for implementation, such as mobilizing support for building shelters for the needy, dredging canals to improve water flow, etc. Through this, the Women's Union branch demonstrates its role in contributing to the construction of a civilized urban town .

Projects include dredging Canal 2 Xê; supporting the construction of a charitable home for Ms. Nguyen Thi Nguyet, a poor household facing housing difficulties; and dredging Canal 9 Có.

In addition to successfully carrying out the movement, the branch also effectively manages entrusted funds from the District Branch of the Social Policy Bank, as well as savings and credit funds, providing loans to many female members to develop their family economies .

Furthermore, over the past three years, the branch association has consistently updated the list of poor and near-poor households with female members and assigned members to approach and assist them through various means such as supporting loans from the District Social Policy Bank branch, encouraging and visiting them, helping them develop their economy, introducing them to rural vocational training, introducing them to jobs, and giving gifts, etc.

At the same time, the Women's Union branch encouraged its members to share experiences in farming and livestock breeding; and encouraged participation in science and technology transfer classes and rural vocational training classes organized in coordination with the Women's Union of the town.

According to Tat Thi Thanh Tuyen, head of the Women's Union branch in Tan Binh neighborhood: "The most outstanding feature of the branch in the past period has been the spirit of solidarity, propaganda, and mobilization of members to participate in meaningful movements and models in the community. When members understand the significance of these models, they become more attached to the organization and actively participate in emulation movements. Through this, the branch has a foundation to organize more activities and contribute to the overall movement of the locality."

2. The Women's Union branch of Binh Loi neighborhood, Tan Tru town, was recently honored as one of the outstanding Women's Union branches to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for its achievements in the "Outstanding Women's Union Branch Award" emulation movement for the period 2022-2024.

The Women's Association of Binh Loi neighborhood (Tan Tru town, Tan Tru district) mobilized support from various organizations to build houses for members in difficult circumstances.

According to Vo Thi Dan, Head of the Women's Association in Binh Loi neighborhood, the highlight of the Association over the past three years has been leveraging the internal resources of its members to raise funds for social welfare activities and maintain many meaningful models at the grassroots level. These include: Turning waste into money for charity, a waste-free canal, "White Shirts of Love," "Giving is Forever," "Bringing Joy to the Elderly and the Lonely," "Green, Clean, and Beautiful Streets," "Model Peaceful Streets," and maintaining a Household Waste Sorting Club.

In addition, the branch maintains a charitable kitchen. Twice a week, members of the kitchen cook hundreds of free meals to donate to patients and their families receiving treatment at the Tan Tru District Medical Center.

During the period 2022-2024, with the support of the local government, the Women's Union, as well as residents in the neighborhood and some philanthropists, the branch implemented 3 notable projects: Upgrading and expanding the Tram Bau canal road with 0x4 gravel; dredging the 6 Xe canal; and mobilizing support to build a shelter for a poor Women's Union member.

In parallel, the branch also mobilized benefactors from within and outside the locality to donate nearly 390 gifts worth a total of 134.5 million VND to poor and near-poor households, those with difficult circumstances, the elderly, the sick, the lonely, the disabled, etc. At the same time, the branch focused on commending advanced models among the members, and examples of good people and good deeds to motivate and encourage the spirit of the members, thereby creating a ripple effect in the Association's movement. The branches and groups maintained regular quarterly meetings, with the participation rate of members reaching 80% or more.

The Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tan Tru town, Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, informed: “Since the implementation of the award's content and targets, the women's union branches in the neighborhoods have continuously innovated the content and methods of their activities, concretizing them into deep, broad, and continuous emulation movements in many fields, attracting the participation of a large number of women's union members, contributing to the successful implementation of the local political and socio-economic tasks. The effectiveness of the emulation movement contributes to improving the quality of grassroots union activities, building new rural areas, and civilized urban areas,...”.
