On the evening of May 11, next to Hamptons Pier, the longest sea-view bridge in Southeast Asia in Ho Tram, Vung Tau, My Tam wore sunglasses, stepped onto the stage of the My Soul 1981 live show and sang amid the cheers and anticipation of more than 5,000 spectators.

She asked her fans if they had seen the moon and sunset at the beach yet? As My Tam promised after the My Soul 1981 show in Ha Long at the end of last year, she would meet the audience in Ho Tram to listen to her sing, watch the sunset and wait for the moon to rise.

She said she felt like she had gone back 20 years. But whether it was then or now, My Tam is still living in the love of many "soulmates".

'What My Tam has is what heaven and earth and her soulmate give her'

During the concert, My Tam repeatedly expressed her gratitude to her "soulmates". She thanked the audience for coming to her. She said that there were audiences from far away, in many different provinces and cities, even abroad such as Switzerland, Australia... but still tried to come to Ho Tram to listen to her sing.

She pointed down to the stands, where a Canadian fan was sitting. He was wearing a shirt with My Tam's picture printed on it, with the words: "A big fan from Canada".

My Tam said: "When a singer stands on stage and looks down, they just need to see their audience singing and swaying to the music to be extremely happy. And to gain the love of the audience is not easy."

She said that there was an audience member who was her "hardcore fan" but was sick.

"That's Ngoc Anh. When Tam did the Tri Am live show, Ngoc Anh had tickets but didn't go. She was afraid that she would affect Tam and cause scandals, so she stayed home. She had to try to take medicine every day" - My Tam said.

Many of My Tam's audiences inspired her to write the song "Just Be Happy ." Many shared that they had sad things that they didn't know who to share with.

"As in a status on Ngoc Anh's Facebook, she said that she was going to give up. Tam quickly texted her not to do that but to try a little harder. If she did, Tam would be very miserable. That same night, Tam stayed awake all night to write the song " Just Be Happy" .

My Tam invited the audience to sing along with her to this song to dispel all the worries and anxieties in life. The stage LED screen kept showing the lyrics:

My friend! There are so many wonderful things around / Look up at the bright sun / It will guide your steps through the dark nights / You will see how much joy is still waiting".

My Tam said in the music night that she always thought she started her life from zero.

"I was born into this world and I was lucky. I started from zero, and to be where I am today is thanks to heaven and earth and my 'soulmates'" - the female singer said.

Then Tam added that when she started her music career, she only had one fan. He asked if he could set up a fan club for her?

"Tam said: Why did you create a fan club? I'm not famous yet? Then she said that she created a fan club because she liked it. Now, when she sees the audience in front of her, from one person to 5, 10, or 20 thousand people, that's not easy to achieve and Tam always feels happy and cherishes that" - My Tam explained.

Night of nostalgia

In the music night My Soul 1981 In Ho Tram, behind the stage is the sea breeze blowing in, the stands are designed to be airy and spacious. My Tam takes the audience back to the old days with songs that once made her famous such as: Wish, The story has not started yet, Unexpected kiss, Remember, Send your love, Like a dream ...

My Tam expressed her feelings when in front of her was the audience and behind her was the sea:

"In the past, Tam lived near the sea, so he sang all day and night. Tam's father said, if I had to go to the sea, swim and sing, then he would give me a gift, otherwise I would be scolded. It's so strange! Thanks to that, Tam was able to fulfill his promise to the audience to sing in front of the sea."

Sharing about the theme of the music night, My Tam revealed that this is a nostalgic music night. Old songs are given a new look. However, the selection and arrangement of the songs are still at a safe level, without any breakthroughs.

Many audiences hope to see more "innovation and creativity" from My Tam even though her name has been influential for nearly 20 years.

In the audience were people close to her such as: Dam Vinh Hung, Mai Tai Phen, Vu Ha... Special guest was singer Jimmii Nguyen.

The moment he appeared, the audience almost exploded. This was the first time My Tam sang with Jimmii Nguyen. He had a lot of love and respect for My Tam.

As soon as he appeared, Jimmii said: "Tam! I'm so grateful to you for the past decades. Today I'm here with you. We've gone back in time to the past, back to what we started with."

Since the early days of his career, Jimmii Nguyen has known a lovely "baby singer". That is My Tam.

He expressed: "When Tam invited me to join the program, I was very surprised. But I think this is fate. A 'star in Vietnam' invited me with a very respectful and humble invitation. There is no reason for me not to agree.

During the live show, the duo sang in harmony two famous songs by Jimmii Nguyen: Tinh xua nghia cu 2 and Tinh nhu la bay xa . My Tam asked her senior to perform the hit Hoa bang lang, both the original and the remix version. My Tam also performed many other Chinese songs with Vietnamese lyrics in this program.
