In an announcement earlier this week, Nvidia said it expects production of Blackwell AI chips at TSMC's Phoenix, Arizona, factory and Foxconn and Wistron's supercomputer factories in Texas to ramp up within 12-15 months.

According to the announcement, the production of AI chips and supercomputers in the US will create hundreds of thousands of jobs in the coming decades.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stressed that adding manufacturing in the US helps the manufacturer better meet the incredible and growing demand for AI chips and supercomputers, strengthens Nvidia's supply chain, and increases its resilience.

Previously, in March this year, CEO Jensen Huang said that the US's higher tariffs would have little immediate impact on Nvidia, but the company still decided to move production to the US in the long term without giving a specific timeline.

Nvidia is the latest US tech company to back the Trump administration's efforts to boost domestic manufacturing.

In a recent statement, the White House said that bringing industries like chip manufacturing back home is good for American workers, the economy , and US national security./.
