Recognizing the growing market demand for froglets, Mr. Le Van Khanh Hai, residing in Dong Loi hamlet, Dong Binh commune, Thoi Lai district (Can Tho city), boldly invested in a frog breeding model. Through hard work, a willingness to learn, and a proactive approach, after nearly four years of starting his business, Mr. Hai's frog breeding model is operating stably and yielding high productivity.
Guiding us around his family's frog breeding model, Mr. Hai shared: "In recent years, commercial frog farming has been chosen by many people.
After learning from experience, in 2021, I joined forces with a friend to go to Dong Thap to buy 5,000 frogs to raise and achieve high profits. After about 6-7 months of raising commercial frogs, I continued to research and switched to raising frogs until now."
From his commercial frog farm, Mr. Hai selected 400 healthy, high-quality breeding frogs for reproduction.
Taking advantage of the vacant land around his house, Mr. Hai built 6 frog breeding tanks with a total area of about 250 square meters; including 2 tadpole breeding tanks, 1 tank for baby frogs, 2 tanks for mother frogs and 1 tank for father frogs.
According to Mr. Hai, the technique of raising frogs is not difficult. During the breeding process, the tank preparation is very important, the water must be changed regularly to ensure the water source is clean and not polluted.
In addition, he regularly disinfects the water with biological pesticides and coarse salt to prevent disease and keep the frogs healthy.
