In Lien Thuy commune (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province), the flood also receded slowly. Many households living with the flood could only eat instant noodles to get through the day because there was no rain and no clean water to use.
Mr. Pham Van Linh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Lien Thuy Commune (Le Thuy District, Quang Binh Province), said: "50% of the houses in the area are flooded. There has been no rain since yesterday, so people cannot collect water for use and have to chew raw instant noodles and dry food to get through their meals. Now people really need clean water to drink, so they limit cooking instant noodles to save drinking water."

"In Hong Thuy commune, there are still more than 600 households in flooded areas, and National Highway 1A passing through the locality cannot be opened because it is still flooded. People in the flood are in need of many things, but the most important thing is clean water," said Mr. Pham Minh Huan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hong Thuy commune (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province).
Talking to Dan Viet newspaper reporter, Mr. Phan Thanh Cuong - Secretary of Le Thuy district Party Committee (Quang Binh province), shared: "The locality is very grateful to the relief teams who arrived early to come to the people in the flooded areas. Because the flood receded slowly and the water level was still high, we had to limit the teams from entering people's houses to provide relief for the safety of the teams and the people's houses and properties that are placed on high ground. Volunteer teams should coordinate with local authorities to bring clean water and necessary necessities to people in the flooded areas."
