1001 Detox Juice Recipes

On the NTG health TikTok channel, they shared: "Currently, every day people consume a lot of contaminated food, polluted water, and everything around us inadvertently creates toxins that accumulate in the body. The detoxification recipe includes celery, red dates, and ginger."

The MA account shared a 7-day body cleansing recipe. The recipe for day one includes 4 carrots (300g), 2 cucumbers, 1/2 pineapple, and 1 ginger root. The recipe for day two includes 500g winter melon, half a pineapple...

Guide to detoxification using fruit juices

PNQ's account shared a 6-day detox recipe. Each day, you drink three times: morning, noon, and night. The morning starts with the first recipe: 300g of parsley, one cucumber, and one small apple. According to Ms. Q, there have recently been many opinions that juice is bad because it contains a lot of sugar. If that's the case, it's because you haven't experienced and seen the true results that juice provides. If the recipe contains 50-100% sweet fruit, then it's indeed not good, but if it only contains 20% fruit for sweetness and 80% vegetables, then it's perfectly good for the body.

'Detoxification is not the function of juice, but of the liver and kidneys.'

Associate Professor, Doctor Lam Vinh Nien, Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City, stated that fruit and vegetable juices contain many vitamins and minerals; however, their purpose is to provide micronutrients to the body, not to detoxify or eliminate toxins. The body's detoxification function lies in other organs, such as the liver.

"Furthermore, overusing juice as a meal replacement can lead to severe malnutrition. Juice only provides sufficient vitamins and trace elements, but lacks energy and other essential nutrients. Therefore, using juice as a detoxification trend can be harmful to the body. Instead, choose a diverse and balanced diet, which will bring many benefits to the body," shared Dr. Vinh Nien.

Sharing the same view, Dr. Le Nhat Duy, from the University Medical Center of Ho Chi Minh City - Branch 3, stated that juices from vegetables and fruits can provide a large amount of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, helping to support metabolism and improve overall health, but there is no clear medical evidence to prove that drinking juice will help "detoxify" the body. Detoxification is not the function of juice, but of the liver and kidneys.

According to Doctor Duy, drinking too much juice, especially fruit juice with natural sugars (fructose), can lead to hyperglycemia, increasing the risk of diabetes and obesity.

"Furthermore, in some cases, replacing main meals with juice can lead to deficiencies in protein, fiber, and other essential nutrients, seriously affecting long-term health," Dr. Duy emphasized.

According to Dr. Duy, the body's detoxification process relies primarily on internal organs, which function naturally without the need for intervention from the products or methods mentioned above.
