Developing digital platforms
Nui Thanh has 17 communes and towns, up to now, fiber optic cable lines, 3G, 4G mobile networks have been brought in and covered the entire area; village cultural houses and residential blocks all have wifi; connected to a specialized data transmission network to all commune-level localities.
The Q-office document management system has been deployed to all agencies and units in the district, connecting the Government document communication axis and integrating specialized digital signatures, serving the sending and receiving of electronic documents for most common documents. The Intelligent Operation Center (IOC) has been put into use.
The construction of Nui Thanh's digital government has been implemented synchronously. The online video conferencing system is connected to 4 levels (central - provincial - district - commune) to ensure smooth operation. The work of handling administrative procedures in the electronic environment has clearly changed.
The assessment shows that the rate of online public services in 2021 is 67.1%, in 2024 (as of April 30) is 100%; the rate of online records in 2021 is 0.1%, by 2024: 51.78%; the rate of on-time records in 2021: 94.66%, in 2024: 95.46%.
In the field of digital economic and social development, the district promotes information and propaganda about digital skills for people to apply in production activities and online transactions.
Guide businesses to apply cashless payment platforms; accelerate internet popularization; provide digital devices and cheap smartphones to popularize digital transformation throughout the district.
Support businesses in applying digital technology in operations, management, production and business on e-commerce platforms, synchronously applying digital technology platforms to serve management, investment promotion, trade promotion and product consumption.
Nui Thanh district is also strengthening guidance for people to register accounts and use online public services, cashless payment applications, and VNeID population data application.
Upgrading digital platform infrastructure
Mr. Huynh Van Cuong - Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Nui Thanh district said that up to now, all official documents and papers exchanged between local state administrative agencies are done in the electronic environment (except for documents implemented under the confidential regime).
All transactions on the Public Service Portals and the Electronic One-Stop Information System are electronically authenticated. The work of building, checking, processing, reviewing, systematizing legal documents and monitoring law enforcement has become routine. The ranking of the level of digital transformation has been increasingly improved.
Along with removing limitations and difficulties in digital transformation, Nui Thanh district is implementing many drastic solutions to improve the effectiveness of digital transformation. Strengthening the leadership of the Party and state management of digital transformation; building digital government, forming smart urban Nui Thanh.
“In building smart cities, we will first focus on building smart traffic systems, smart security monitoring systems, digitizing the fields of natural resources - environment, health, education, etc. Effectively implementing shared software; software for receiving citizens and managing complaints and denunciations; electronic one-stop software system, full and partial online public services,” said Mr. Cuong.
According to Chairman of Nui Thanh District People's Committee - Le Van Sinh, within the content of digital transformation, the locality mobilizes all resources to invest and upgrade the synchronous and modern digital platform infrastructure, ready to meet all needs of people, businesses and the digital transformation of the government.
The district promotes digital transformation in all production, business and management activities of enterprises in the district; promotes cashless payments in schools, educational institutions, hospitals, medical facilities, markets, and business households.
“Nui Thanh also coordinates with local telecommunications enterprises to promote the development of digital society, popularize broadband internet services to households and 4G/5G mobile coverage. Popularize the use of VNeID application; online public services; digital payment applications and ensure basic network information security.
Speed up the implementation of information technology and security camera projects. At the same time, encourage digital technology enterprises to invest and develop in the district, prioritizing areas such as commerce, electronics, agriculture, healthcare, education, construction, and natural resources and environment," said Mr. Sinh.
