Female lieutenant causes a stir with a series of photos in military uniform

Nguyen Thi Thuy said this was a behind-the-scenes moment, when she was preparing to perform a choir performance in the art program "The Country is Full of Joy" on the evening of April 20. She was surprised when the image of her in military uniform was shared by many people.

The soldier is originally from Binh Thuan, working at the Art Troupe of the Border Guard Command. After the concert in Ho Chi Minh City, she and her teammates are going to other provinces and cities to perform.

She has been passionate about singing since childhood, and won a gold medal at the Border Cultural Propaganda Team Festival at the age of 18. Her family was not well off, so when Thuy finished high school, her parents had to borrow money to send her to Hanoi to take the entrance exam to the Military University of Culture and Arts. After graduating, she worked at the Border Guard Art Troupe.

She and her teammates often go on long business trips, stay up late and wake up early, to the border areas to serve soldiers and people. "The affection of the officers and people is the motivation for us to overcome difficulties. I hope my songs bring joy and spiritual value to the listeners," said the female lieutenant.

Thanks to her energetic spirit, she received a certificate of merit as a grassroots Emulation Fighter. During the Covid-19 period, she was also recognized for the song " If You Don't Come Back " (music by Hong Ngoc, poem by Huu Tuan).

Nguyen Thi Thuy, also known by her stage name Hellen Thuy, was in the top 9 of Sao Mai folk music in 2015 and won the championship of Bolero Idol 2017.
