Wuhan will host the final round of Asia's most prestigious tournament for women's clubs - the 2024-2025 AFC Women's Champions League.
According to the latest announcement from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the three most important matches – including the two semi-finals and the final – will all take place at the Wuhan Sports Center Stadium, which has a capacity of up to 54,000 seats.
It is worth noting that the venue for this match is the home field of Wuhan Jiangda (China), which will give an advantage to the opponent of the Vietnamese representative.
Specifically, the two semi-finals will be held on May 21, while the final will take place on May 24. The first semi-final between the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club and the host team Wuhan, Wuhan Jiangda (China) will kick off at 3 p.m. on May 21. The remaining semi-final between Incheon Red Angels (South Korea) and Melbourne City (Australia) will take place 4 hours later.

This event will open up a golden opportunity for the sole representative of Vietnamese women's football, Ho Chi Minh City Club, to write a historical story in China. The representative of the city named after Uncle Ho is currently preparing vigorously for the match considered "historic", with a strong reinforcement of forces.
Ho Chi Minh City FC's semi-final lineup has been completed with quality foreign players including: Ashley Tram Anh, Chelsea Le, Aubrey Goodwill, Maria Jamila Khan, Sakura Yoshida and Sabrina Cabrera.
Among them, Ashley Tram Anh and Chelsea Le are potential overseas Vietnamese players. Although they do not have Vietnamese nationality, they still play as foreign players according to AFC regulations.
In particular, the team also added overseas Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi, who has Vietnamese nationality and is recognized by AFC as a domestic player. This is considered a strategic card, contributing to strengthening the strength and depth of the squad.
This also helps coach Kim Chi's team have an additional foreign player slot on the field according to the regulation of 6 players/match, so it is likely that Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club will activate a new contract in the near future.
With determination and carefully invested forces, Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club is facing a historic opportunity to bring Vietnamese women's football to the continental level in terms of achievements.
