On October 21st, Duy Tan University ( Da Nang City) held its opening ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year and awarded scholarships to new students of the 29th cohort.

At the ceremony, valedictorian H' Mi Sa Kbuôr delivered a moving speech to her friends, encouraging them to "live a life worth living…".
Student H' Mi Sa Kbuôr expressed her gratitude to herself for not giving up in the face of difficulties on her academic journey, and thanked her family and relatives for their unwavering support that helped her achieve academic success and enter university.
H' Mi Sa Kbuôr recounted: "Where I live, there are friends who are 18 years old and have already gotten married, and 8-year-old children who don't know how to read or write... Many mothers and sisters cry every night because of the difficult lives and outdated customs that still exist today..."
Student H' Mi Sa Kbuôr, the valedictorian of Duy Tan University with 28.26 points, is majoring in public relations.
Faced with these difficulties, H' Mi Sa Kbuôr hopes that her friends back home and those in difficult circumstances will persevere. "Please try even harder. We are here today because we have so much more than others, so why should we remain confined in our small cocoons instead of spreading our wings to the higher skies? I hope we can all work together, not only for ourselves but also for our parents and for the hardships of the place where we live," H' Mi Sa Kbuôr said with emotion.
Kbuôr also emphasized that as long as people always aim for a noble purpose, nothing is impossible… "University is the starting point for us to realize our career dreams and learn skills to have a worthwhile life," Kbuôr said.

The heartfelt sharing of the top-scoring female student received a positive response from all students and lecturers present at the opening ceremony. Her advice and encouragement to overcome difficulties and adversity in order to find a "worthwhile life" also inspired many young people across the country, especially students from mountainous regions.

On this occasion, the university also commended and awarded prizes to 10 valedictorians from 7 training schools and 1 training institute of Duy Tan University (the Tourism Training School had 3 co-valedictorians). In the 2023 admissions season, Duy Tan University awarded nearly 19 billion VND to candidates with high scores in the high school graduation exam with full scholarships, partial scholarships and other scholarships.
