Bui Thu Trang has just graduated with honors in Business Administration from Foreign Trade University with a GPA of 3.83/4.0. Previously, this female student also received a notice of admission to a master's degree at Tsinghua University, China.
When she first got into Foreign Trade University, Trang had a plan to study abroad, so she focused on studying, researching and practicing Chinese. Trang used almost every moment of the day to study. Even when watching movies or listening to music, the female student took out a pen and paper to write down new vocabulary. In addition to self-study, this female student also highly values the spirit of teamwork. Before each exam at Foreign Trade University, Trang and her friends organized group study sessions to supplement each other's knowledge.

Thanks to her tireless efforts, Trang graduated with honors in business administration with a GPA of 3.83/4.0. Currently, the foreign trade student has a certificate of HSK 6 Chinese, HSKK (advanced speaking). “I usually spend 4-5 hours to process a Chinese exam, quality over quantity. When reading documents, I will take notes when I encounter new words, especially idioms and proverbs to apply in writing and speaking,” Trang shared.
In addition, Trang often watches movies, listens to music, and reads books in Chinese. The female student also imitates the dialogue of the characters in the movies to practice speaking. As for writing, Trang diligently rewrites vocabulary many times to be able to use it fluently. Earlier this year, Trang was announced to have been accepted to a master's degree in business administration at Tsinghua University, China. "In this journey, I found the essay writing the most difficult part, having to spend time selecting the best points from many ideas. My original essay was about 5,000 words, after many times of shortening and filtering, it was about 1,200 words talking about my academic achievements, dreams and ambitions," Trang shared.

In 2023, Trang published a scientific research article in the Academic Journal of Management and Social Sciences (Academic Journal of Management and Social Sciences in the US). The scientific article talks about the relationship between organizational factors and knowledge sharing behavior through the mediation model of knowledge sharing intention. “This research can be applied in businesses in Vietnam, to promote creativity, fairness and connection. In my opinion, leaders need to minimize the concentration of power and empower all levels. This promotes knowledge exchange between individuals in the workplace, supporting sustainable business development in the new era,” Trang shared. In the future, Trang hopes to work for about 2 years after completing her master's degree to accumulate practical experience. After that, Trang will have a research direction for her doctoral thesis and continue pursuing an academic path. Ms. Do Thi Thanh Huong, lecturer of the Faculty of Business Administration, Foreign Trade University, said: “Trang is a well-behaved student, polite to teachers and sociable, cheerful with friends. In her studies, Trang is very serious, hard-working, and eager to learn, and teachers of other subjects all give her positive reviews. Trang is also very good at Chinese”. Ms. Huong added: “Trang also participates in the school's fashion and MC clubs. Trang is always present to support extracurricular activities of the school or faculty. With such a busy schedule of study and extracurricular activities, Trang can still complete all tasks well. Trang is in the top 10% of early graduates of K59, and is also honored as an outstanding student of the Faculty of Business Administration”.
