According to US media, on August 29, American billionaire Jeff Bezos' aerospace corporation Blue Origin sent a group of six explorers to the edge of space, marking the successful completion of the corporation's next space tourism flight.
The flight was attended by Karsen Kitchen, a senior at the University of North Carolina (USA).
With this flight, she became the youngest woman ever to cross the Kármán line - internationally recognized as the imaginary boundary between Earth's atmosphere and outer space.
Named after physicist Theodore von Kármán, this line lies 100km above the Earth's surface.

The New Shepard rocket lifted off from the launch pad at Launch Site One, near the town of Van Horn, Texas, at 8:00 a.m. on August 29 (local time).
After separating from the rocket's booster stage, the spacecraft flies over the Kármán line, where passengers have the opportunity to admire the curvature of the Earth and unbuckle their seatbelts to experience weightlessness for a few minutes.
The spacecraft then re-enters the atmosphere, parachutes down in the desert near the launch site. Total flight time is typically around 10-11 minutes.

Blue Origin does not publicly disclose ticket prices, but it is believed that ticket prices will vary significantly depending on the individual selected, their net worth, and the social prestige they bring to the company.
For example, a seat on a Blue Origin flight sold for $28 million at a charity auction in 2021. Meanwhile, notable guests such as Star Trek actor William Shatner have taken Blue Origin flights for free. Others have said they paid hundreds of thousands of dollars.
