Initially, the authorities determined that T. had run away from home with friends but had not informed his relatives. At the same time, T. had cut off all contact, leaving his family confused and worried.

As VietNamNet reported, on the afternoon of October 4, T. went to physical education class. However, she did not return home afterward. Her family could not contact her by phone and her internet accounts were also inaccessible.

The family searched everywhere, posted information on social networks and reported to the police in districts 5, 8 and Binh Tan.
