"The Queen of Supporting Roles" once intended to quit her career.
Thuy Muoi is a familiar face to television audiences, having appeared in a series of films, but rarely taking on the main role. That is why many people call her "the queen of supporting roles".
Thuy Muoi was born in 1972, a native of Long An, and comes from a farming family. Although no one in her family pursued art, with a burning passion, she "took a risk" leaving her hometown for Ho Chi Minh City to pursue an acting career.

To date, Thuy Muoi has been in the industry for over 20 years, taking on a variety of roles, from tragic, comedic to villainous. Many audiences commented that she has an impressive face and unique personality. Therefore, each of her roles is deeply engraved in the hearts of the audience, even if it is just a fleeting role.
Sharing about her acting career with hundreds of supporting roles, Thuy Muoi expressed: "Being attached to this profession is an endless happiness, the main role or supporting role is not as important as whether you play that role well or not."
For an artist, being remembered and loved by the audience is already a success, and this is what makes Thuy Muoi happy. However, behind the image of an actress who is dedicated to her profession and enthusiastic on set is a life that is not very smooth.

According to Thuy Muoi, after leaving the University of Theatre and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City, she was unemployed for 2 years. Because she was so "floating", there were times when she wanted to return to her hometown and give up art.
"In the past, finding a performance in Ho Chi Minh City was very difficult, not as easy as it is now. After 2 years of unemployment, I applied to join a state troupe. After a few years, I was unemployed again. This made me extremely depressed. I thought about whether I should return to my hometown, but I didn't know what I would do if I did," Thuy Muoi confided.
The actress born in 1972 admits that she is an independent person who knows how to save for life. So despite her lack of money, she still tries to work hard and do whatever she can.
During that time, Thuy Muoi performed in plays and dances, making ends meet with a meager salary. However, she believed that the important thing was to stick with the profession.
Fighting illness, optimistic at 51
Recalling her difficult past, actress Thuy Muoi felt a bit emotional. She said she was a strong and determined person, but sometimes she felt weak when faced with ironic and bitter situations.
Thuy Muoi said there was a time when she had to perform at a bar. After a year, she had an incident with a group of actors so she quit. When she returned to that bar, the manager asked the MC to invite her out, because he was afraid she would... steal the artists' belongings.
"Artists have very high self-esteem. After listening, I tried to hold back my emotions so as not to cry, but my eyes stung. I felt extremely offended," Thuy Muoi recalled.

It was also from this unforgettable story that the actress born in 1972 decided to change herself. She told herself to rise up and become more successful. After that, Thuy Muoi's career improved a bit, but then another incident happened when she discovered she had a heart disease and had to undergo surgery at a very high cost.
"At that time, I was very stressed because the heart surgery cost a lot and my finances were tight. After the surgery, I had to rest and didn't know what to do to make money to live at that time. Hoai Linh organized a live show, called on fellow artists to support and raise funds to help me have money for the heart surgery," Thuy Muoi shared.
Not only does the actress suffer from heart disease, she also has lung disease. However, she is not discouraged. Returning to work, the actress is still optimistic and enthusiastic about performing each role.
"A year after my heart surgery, I went back to acting. There were scenes where I had to run and jump very hard, I was afraid it would affect my health but it wouldn't be good if I didn't act like that," said the actress.
After more than 10 years since her heart surgery, Thuy Muoi's health has stabilized. The 7X actress said she is more strict with her health, and has limited her acting to action roles to ensure that she is not affected. Because of many illnesses, she chose to live a single life to be relaxed.
Now, Thuy Muoi is still working hard on the set with supporting roles. In addition, she also ventured into singing to satisfy her passion. In particular, she and actors Phuong Dung, Phi Phung, Ta Quang Thinh and Miss Diem Huong founded the group Ngu Long Du Ky, regularly doing charity trips, helping elderly artists in difficult circumstances.
