Le Tu Chinh is pleased with her achievement.
On the afternoon of April 16th, Le Tu Chinh competed in the women's 100m qualifying round of the 2025 Unified Speed Cup Athletics Tournament. For her, this was just a test competition, not an official achievement, so she did not qualify for the final.
The reason is that the time since she left the Ho Chi Minh City team to transfer to the Ca Mau team was less than two years. According to the regulations of the Vietnam Athletics Federation, an athlete who previously competed for one team and then transfers to another must ensure a transfer period of 24 months to be considered valid, and only after 24 months can they compete for the new team.
This regulation has been criticized for having too many shortcomings and disadvantaging athletes. The reason is that although Tu Chinh had already been released from her contract by Ho Chi Minh City and was free to move to a new location, she was still banned from competing for two years by the Vietnam Athletics Federation.
Tú Chinh's qualifying time at the Speed Cup on the afternoon of April 16th was 11.98 seconds.
In the qualifying round, she ranked 5th out of 12 athletes and, if her performance is judged, she will qualify for the final.
Nevertheless, after a long period of struggling with injuries and suspensions, this result can be considered acceptable.
Sharing his thoughts on his performance, the athlete born in 1997 said: "I can be temporarily satisfied with this achievement. This will be a stepping stone, a motivation for me to return to competition in the near future. These kinds of assessments at domestic competitions help me regain my competitive feel and improve my mentality."
After a long period of limited training and competition due to injuries and suspensions, I needed time to recover. There's no need to rush things, so I'm happy with myself at this moment.
I also hope to recover well in the coming time and have my ban lifted quickly so I can return to domestic competitions and even compete internationally."
Quách Thị Lan has no rivals.

Another name that attracted attention on the afternoon of April 16th was Quách Thị Lan. She competed in the women's 400m final alongside three other athletes: Phan Võ Như Ý, Lương Thị Duyên, and Trần Thị Nhi Yến.
Without facing overly strong opponents, Quách Thị Lan easily won with a time of 53.85 seconds. Since returning after a two-year doping ban, the athlete from Thanh Hóa has continued to demonstrate her high level of performance domestically, achieving excellent results.
The surprising result in this event was Tran Thi Nhi Yen, who specializes in short distances such as the 100m or 200m.
Despite competing out of her usual position, the Vietnamese track and field athlete finished second with a time of 54.74 seconds. Earlier, Nhi Yến competed in the women's 100m qualifying round alongside Tú Chinh. In tomorrow's final, she is considered a strong contender for the gold medal.
In the men's 400m event, young athlete Ta Ngoc Tuong (born in 1995) caused a surprise by surpassing veteran Tran Dinh Son to win the gold medal.
