Teacher Dinh Sao Mai (25 years old, Hanoi) is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Japanese (Language Practice) - Hanoi University.

Previously, the girl born in 1998 studied abroad and graduated from the Social Sciences and Humanities major at Waseda University - a school known for training many politicians and celebrities in Japan.

Sharing with VietNamNet , the young teacher said that the reason and motivation for deciding to pursue a career in Pedagogy was because of her family's tradition as her mother is also a university lecturer.

As a lecturer with a young age and youthful appearance, Ms. Sao Mai shared that in her early days of teaching and even now, she has often been mistaken for a student by people, even students.

“Sometimes I still get the question: 'What year are you in college?'” the young teacher smiled.

Possessing a pretty and beautiful appearance, the young teacher also loves Japanese fashion style.

On her personal Facebook page, the female lecturer also attracted more than 12,000 followers. Her YouTube and Tiktok channels also attracted 42,000 and 88,000 followers respectively.

“When I was a student, I was a member of the Waseda Collection Fashion Club and the Piano Club, so I also participated in fashion shows and piano performances at school events.

In addition, I was also chosen as the student representative of the school in promotional activities in magazines and on the internet. Perhaps thanks to that, I am known and followed by many young people in both Japan and Vietnam through social media channels such as YouTube, Tiktok…”, the teacher said.

However, the young teacher sometimes encounters some trouble when some people on social networks express their feelings, pursue her, and even send disturbing messages to her parents in Vietnam.

In the era of information technology explosion, science and technology constantly developing, social life changing every day, as a young lecturer, according to Sao Mai, my biggest pressure is to always update my knowledge, gain experience to be able to stand firm on the podium.

However, the young teacher shared that she never felt tired at work. On the contrary, she always had a lot of inspiration and positive energy when preparing lessons as well as when teaching.

In addition to teaching time, teacher Sao Mai also participates in many events as an MC or Japanese interpreter.

The young teacher also actively participates in international scientific conferences, cherishing research cooperation opportunities through invitations from lecturers and scientists from many universities in Japan...

As a Japanese teacher and participating in many events inside and outside the school, although she has only been in the profession for 1 year, the young teacher is full of memories.

“The happiest thing for me is receiving affection from students. I have received extremely touching handwritten letters from students in my classes along with flowers and even teddy bears. I always cherish those feelings and perhaps this is also the motivation to stick with this profession,” Sao Mai confided.

Currently, in addition to teaching at the Japanese Department, teacher Sao Mai has also continued to study for a master's degree in Japanese Language.
