(NLĐO) - A smiling red face has appeared in the middle of the constellation Leo, emanating from a region of space 465 million light-years away from us.
NASA has just released an image of a "ghostly smile from space" captured by the James Webb Space Telescope ( developed and primarily operated by NASA) .
What creates this smile-like image is Arp 107, a structure consisting of two fused galaxies.

In Arp 107, the larger spiral galaxy, Seyfert, is roughly the same size as the Milky Way, the galaxy containing Earth, making it a "monster" in the galactic world .
This galaxy is on track to merge with a much smaller elliptical galaxy.
During the merger, the two galactic cores became the glowing "eyes" of a terrifying face from the universe, while a "star bridge" connecting the two galaxies resembled a devilish grin, stretching from ear to ear, like the clowns in horror movies.
According to Live Science, this merging pair of galaxies was photographed last year by the Hubble Space Telescope.
However, to observe the merger more clearly, NASA decided to photograph Arp 107 once again using James Webb's infrared "eye."
Therefore, the smiling face from space is tinged with red, adding to its terrifying appearance.
In addition to the stellar bridge pulled apart from both galaxies during their entanglement, James Webb's data also revealed star-forming regions, dust, and a bright spot within the spiral galaxy Seyfert, which may be powered by a monstrous black hole.
This merged image of the two galaxies also serves as a "window of time" to better understand the Milky Way galaxy in which we reside.
The Milky Way is a formidable cosmic monster, having swallowed around 20 other galaxies to reach its current enormous size.
