Female traffic police officer creates 'Beautiful moments around us'

On the morning of June 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association in collaboration with Photography & Life magazine organized the award ceremony of the Photography and Life contest with the theme Beautiful Moments Around Us , at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association.

Journalist Thai Ngoc Son - head of the Southern representative office of Photography & Life magazine, head of the contest's organizing committee - said the organizing committee received nearly 4,000 works from 751 authors nationwide.

Through the judging rounds, the organizing committee selected 19 works for awards.

In which, the first prize was awarded to author Hoang Van Phuoc with the work Friendly .

Two second prizes were awarded to author Vu Van Lam with the work Connection and author Dinh Khanh Nam with the work The beauty of labor of the H'Mong Lenh people .

The work "Tourist rickshaw" by Dang Hong Long, " Discovering the Krong No volcanic cave" by Nguyen Quoc Huy and " Joy of the wedding day" by Nguyen Minh Tuan won third prize.

Tác phẩm Nét đẹp lao động của đồng bào người H'Mông Lềnh của tác giả Định Khánh Nam đoạt giải nhì — The work "The beauty of labor of the H'Mong Lenh people" by author Dinh Khanh Nam won second prize.

Journalist Thai Ngoc Son said this year's contest has no special prize.

However, the organizers decided to add an additional award outside the rules, which is the award for the work most loved by readers .

This award was given to author Pham Minh Tuan for his work Sweet Fragrance of Rice, with 13,598 favorite votes.

Third prize winning works

On this occasion, the organizers selected 50 works with high scores for the final round and exhibited them at the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association.

Journalist Ho Sy Minh - permanent vice president of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, editor-in-chief of Photography & Life magazine - hopes that this photo contest will improve the quality and scale of organization in the coming time.
