NTO - Ninh Thuan Vocational College opens the 2024 school year

On the morning of October 11th, Ninh Thuan Vocational College held its Opening Ceremony for the 2024-2025 academic year. Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the ceremony. Also present were leaders from provincial departments and agencies; representatives from the German International Cooperation Organization GIZ; and cooperating businesses from within and outside the province.

In the 2023-2024 academic year, Ninh Thuan Vocational College achieved 96.7% of its enrollment target; the graduation rate exceeded 95%; nearly 80% of graduates found employment in their trained field, with many being hired immediately after their internships. For the 2024-2025 academic year, the college aims to welcome an additional 830 new students, striving to achieve a graduation rate of over 95% and a 90% employment rate by the end of the year. The college also aims to develop into a high-quality institution, establish a Center of Excellence in Renewable Energy, and expand cooperation with businesses and international organizations in vocational education .

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of Ninh Thuan Vocational College in the past academic year. Entering the new academic year 2024-2025, he requested the school's Board of Directors to be determined and resolute in implementing projects under the national target program for sustainable poverty reduction assigned to the school as the main investor, striving to disburse 100% of the planned capital; maximizing resources, building modern and synchronized facilities; transferring equipment for teaching; creating a breakthrough in the quality of vocational training, contributing to improving provincial competitiveness; and simultaneously preparing human resources to meet the requirements of integration and achieve the criteria of a high-quality school by 2025.

The comrade requested that departments, agencies, and localities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, continue to coordinate and support Ninh Thuan Vocational College in the recruitment and training of workers to meet the practical requirements and needs of the locality and businesses; attention should be paid to propaganda work to raise awareness among junior high school students about participating in vocational training and seeking employment. For students, it is necessary to make greater efforts in studying and training, in the spirit of hard work leading to success, so that they have the opportunity to find employment, develop their family's economy , and contribute to building a stronger and more prosperous Ninh Thuan homeland.

Businesses awarded scholarships worth 274 million VND to the Ninh Thuan Vocational College's Scholarship Fund. The Principal of Ninh Thuan Vocational College commended 15 students and 4 groups for their outstanding achievements in the 2023-2024 academic year. On this occasion, Ninh Thuan Vocational College also summarized the Cooperation Project on Vocational Training in Renewable Energy; GIZ handed over 5 short-term programs on renewable energy and an advanced training program for Wind Energy Service Technicians to Ninh Thuan Vocational College.
