During a visit to the raspberry cultivation model in a greenhouse owned by Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh in Ward 4, Van Hai Commune, we were impressed by the creativity and initiative of the farmers in our province. Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh shared: "Recognizing that raspberries are easy to grow, resistant to pests and diseases, have a long growing season, and bring high economic value, in 2020 I boldly converted 1 sao (approximately 1000 square meters) of low-yield crops to experimentally cultivate raspberries. To ensure good plant growth, I installed a greenhouse and a drip irrigation system, used organic microbial fertilizer, ensuring product safety, and controlled the amount of irrigation water. To date, I harvest 5-7 kg of ripe fruit daily, selling it at 150,000 VND/kg, earning a profit of about 16 million VND per month." Along with selling fresh fruit, Mr. Trinh also researches and processes raspberry syrups and wines to enhance the product's value. With his boldness and pioneering spirit in introducing new crops to our province, Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh has made a positive contribution to the effective transformation of the local crop structure.
