In the first 6 months of the year, the city's socio-economic development has been stable. The total production value of economic sectors was over VND 9,794 billion, reaching 42.63% of the plan, growing by 10.1%, shifting towards trade - services, industry - construction, agriculture - aquaculture. Resource mobilization and development investment were focused on; the disbursement rate of investment capital reached 56.3% of the plan. State budget revenue in the first 6 months was over VND 481 billion, of which the balanced revenue according to decentralization was over VND 224 billion, reaching 62% of the plan. Urban management, environmental sanitation, investment in urban infrastructure development, public services, etc. were focused on and promoted. The fields of culture - society, social security, poverty reduction, etc. were proactively implemented according to the plan; national defense, security, social order and safety were basically maintained.

In the last 6 months of the year, Phan Rang - Thap Cham City continues to focus on implementing the resolutions of the Government, Provincial Party Committee, and City Party Committee, determined to successfully complete the tasks and development goals for 2024. The key task is to develop the urban economy in a synchronous, correct direction, and consistent with the planning. Strengthen planning and planning management; improve the quality of urban planning work towards ensuring modern urban development standards; deploy the overall adjustment project of the Phan Rang - Thap Cham City Master Plan to 2040 and vision to 2050. Mobilize and effectively use resources to promote investment and development; continue to perfect and improve the quality of type II urban standards, towards type I urban areas, gradually building the city into a smart city. Pay attention to implementing well the work of healthcare, education, social security policies, taking care of people's lives; maintain national defense and security.
The meeting focused on discussing and approving 9 resolutions on socio-economic fields, personnel work, and activities of the City People's Committee and People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.
