At the meeting, the representative of the Inspection Delegation announced the Decision to inspect the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025, from January 1, 2022 to August 30, 2024 in Ninh Thuan province. The leader of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs reported on the implementation of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction. In recent times, poverty reduction work has always been focused on by Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province, mobilizing the entire political system to actively, synchronously, promptly and in accordance with regulations, contributing to multidimensional and sustainable poverty reduction in localities.

The province mobilizes, uses and manages resources to implement many projects and works to support investment in developing socio-economic infrastructure for poor districts, especially disadvantaged communes, coastal areas and islands; diversifying livelihoods, developing poverty reduction models; developing vocational education and sustainable employment; promoting communication... to help poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households access multidimensional poverty reduction policies. The material and spiritual life of poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households is constantly improving. The poverty reduction rate in 2022 and 2023 exceeds the set target: In 2022 it reached 1.89%, exceeding 26%; in 2023 it reached 1.72%, exceeding 25% of the assigned plan. In addition to the achieved results, sustainable poverty reduction work in the province still faces many difficulties and limitations, especially in allocating counterpart funds to implement the program according to regulations. Some mechanisms, policies and regulations for implementing the program are not suitable to the actual situation in the locality...
Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked the Inspection Delegation for choosing Ninh Thuan as one of the localities to work. Party committees and authorities at all levels from the province to the grassroots level always identify sustainable poverty reduction as a major and consistent policy; an important, regular and long-term political task of the entire political system and society. The Provincial People's Committee has included poverty reduction in its annual and phased socio-economic development programs and plans.

Through the inspection, the locality will have a deeper and more comprehensive assessment and recognition of the shortcomings and limitations in the implementation of poverty reduction tasks. He hopes that the Delegation will help, support, guide and suggest to the province experiences and solutions to solve and remove bottlenecks in mechanisms and policies for sustainable poverty reduction, especially mechanisms and policies on capital mobilization and disbursement, training, job creation, etc. to help the subjects have the best access and benefit from the mechanisms and policies for poverty reduction of the Party and the State. After working with the Provincial People's Committee, the Delegation will work with a number of localities and units; requesting localities, agencies and units to prepare well the conditions to serve, helping the inspection work achieve the highest efficiency.
