The Mother Goddess Museum by Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh is an architectural work that many people are interested in. In the clip introducing the museum, the male artist said that for him, this work is a way to preserve the Mother Goddess worship of Vietnam.
With that purpose, the male artist did not hesitate to spend money and effort to build the Mother Goddess Museum. To have the wall and tiled towers in the museum grounds, Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh had to collect used tiles.
"Many people think that we built this tiled wall by stacking tiles, but in fact we built it tile by tile because the wall is 13m high, and stacking it would not be durable.
"The tiles from houses that were demolished due to urbanization were brought here by me to beautify the Mother Goddess Museum," said Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh.
Xuan Hinh shares about the Mother Goddess Museum.
The artist used 5 million ancient roof tiles and millions of ancient bricks collected from 500 households across the country to create the Mother Goddess Museum. The museum is located in a 5,000m2 orchard with original columns and gates.
The museum includes a worship room for the Three Holy Mothers, a worship room for the Ancestors, and a gallery displaying artifacts about the performing career of the owner - Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh.

Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh spent 5 years building and completing this project. He shared: "I want to build a Mother Goddess Museum to preserve all the books about Tam Phu, Tu Phu, Mother Goddess, including horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, hand-embroidered scarves and clothes of the ancestors from the past, bearing a strong Vietnamese character.
This can be considered a contemporary museum so that young people who come here will love national culture and Mother Goddess Religion - the indigenous belief of the Vietnamese people.
The male artist collects many antiques and objects imbued with Vietnamese culture to display in the museum.
Xuan Hinh revealed that the entire cost of building the Mother Goddess Museum was saved by his performance fees. "After spending my days singing Van and performing in many places, I was able to save up a little money. I used all of that money to build the Mother Goddess Museum with the aim of preserving the smallest things that carry the soul of the Vietnamese people."
Not only having spiritual value, the Mother Goddess Museum by Meritorious Artist Xuan Hinh is also in the top 14 Best Architectural Projects of the year voted by Domus - the world's prestigious design and architecture magazine.
