She said: "I was surprised to meet two talented artists of traditional musical instruments, Hai Yen, daughter of Meritorious Teacher Pham Thuy Hoan - Head of the Homeland Singing Club, younger sister of Doctor - Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Hai Phuong and artist Viet Hai - Head of the Huong Viet Traditional Art Troupe in Seattle. We were very happy, because we were all artists living far away from home, meeting in a space filled with the sounds of traditional instruments, suddenly felt like we were back home" - Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Tam was moved.

She said that after the death anniversary of her mother - the late artist Thanh Thanh Hoa, she packed her bags and went to the special performance celebrating the 15th anniversary of the founding of the "Song Viet" Band.
Initially, there was a plan to perform a cai luong excerpt with artist Phuong Mai, but due to an unexpected incident, she performed alone with a solo excerpt "Thanh Thien Princess".
"Artist Hai Yen played the T'rung solo "Chim Pongle" and Viet Hai played the monochord "Buoi sang song Huong", and together with the group played the zither "Ly cheo dua ca ong" - a wonderful Southern folk song. Vietnamese artists from many places in the US gathered here, everyone was happy as if they were participating in a festival because they expressed the identity of Vietnamese cultural traditions, at the same time showing off their talents, proving the burning passion of Vietnamese souls who, despite being far away from home, always keep the flow of Vietnamese culture alive. What moved me even more was the applause of the majority of overseas audiences, including many young audiences" - Meritorious Artist Thanh Thanh Tam said.
