Meritorious Artist Doan Bang was appointed Deputy Director of the Youth Theater.

Recently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the decision to appoint new officials. Accordingly, Meritorious Artist Do Doan Bang - Head of the Art Department of the Youth Theater - was appointed as Deputy Director of this Theater. The decision takes effect from September 1.

Meritorious Artist Doan Bang was born in 1969 in a family with an artistic tradition. He is the first son of the artist couple People's Artist Do Doan Chau and Meritorious Artist Bich Thu.

Artist Doan Bang is the author of art design for more than 400 plays, these works have won more than 20 Gold and Silver medals. He has left a lasting impression on the public with stage design with many plays: My Ha My, The Peak of Dreams, Forever 17, King Lia, Bamboo Forest...

He majored in Stage Art Design, Faculty of Art Design, Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema, class 8 and graduated with honors. In 1998, he worked at the Vietnam Drama Theater.

In 2013, designer Doan Bang transferred to the Youth Theater. Doan Bang is one of the few artists who still persistently pursue the major of stage art design - an inseparable part of the performing arts including: script, direction, music , dance, lighting...

The male artist once shared that there was a time when stage designers were considered just tools, just brushes, and not truly recognized as a part of the creative team. So he wanted to change this thinking. To him, stage designers are also an important part of the play.

He was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in the 8th batch in January 2016.
