PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo), together with Thanh Thanh Cong - Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company (TTC AgriS) and scientists from the Central Highlands Soil, Fertilizer and Environment Research Center, have joined forces to create a fertilizer product that makes sugarcane greener, sweeter, and brings a more prosperous life to farmers.

The project began with scientists meticulously collecting soil samples from vast sugarcane fields in Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces, then bringing them to the laboratory for detailed analysis. Each soil sample had different pH levels, organic matter content, nutrient elements such as N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S, and cation exchange capacity (CEC). The scientists analyzed these samples and provided recommendations for appropriate fertilization, helping the soil and plants to harmonize and nourish each other optimally.
Through in-depth soil analysis, TTC AgriS's vast sugarcane fields not only receive a product line of Phu My 20-10-10 +TE NPK fertilizer, perfectly suited to the local sugarcane crop and of European quality, but also gain access to a smart, precise fertilization solution that saves fertilizer and protects the environment.
Sugarcane fields initially grown on nutrient-poor soil received special care, and after a few harvests, the land became fertile, and the plants thrived. Yields increased, the sugarcane became sweeter, and farmers were delighted to see the clear positive changes thanks to the project's collaboration between scientists and businesses.
Science and technology – The key to sustainable agriculture.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of PVFCCo and the scientists of the Central Highlands Soil, Fertilizer and Environment Research Center, the Phu My Fertilizer Soil Analysis and Application Guidance Project is not only a step forward in agricultural science, but also a symbol of trust and hope. Hardworking farmers now have a reliable partner in Phu My Fertilizer on their path to sustainable farming.
Stories from farmers are the clearest evidence of the project's success. Mr. Nguyen Van Bay, a farmer in Khanh Hoa, shared: “Previously, the sugarcane on my land was stunted and had low yields. Since visiting the factory, I have complete confidence in the quality of Phu My NPK fertilizer. My fellow villagers and I confidently use Phu My fertilizer according to the scientists' instructions, and the land has become more fertile, the sugarcane grows vigorously, and yields have increased significantly.”
The project goes beyond simply improving sugarcane productivity; it also opens up a new direction for sustainable agriculture. The combination of modern technology and traditional knowledge has created an effective farming method that not only increases yield and sugar content but also minimizes negative environmental impacts and ensures a stable income for farmers.
According to MSc. Luong Duc Tri (Center for Soil, Fertilizer and Environment Research in the Central Highlands): “Soil nutrient analysis is an extremely important and indispensable step in modern agricultural cultivation. It helps accurately determine the nutritional needs of crops, thereby providing rational fertilization recommendations, optimizing plant growth, improving crop yields, maintaining soil fertility, and protecting the environment. Applying technology to agriculture not only saves costs but also enhances the competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market. This is a crucial step for the sustainable development of Vietnamese agriculture, meeting the increasingly high demands of consumers both domestically and internationally.”
The bright future of Vietnamese agriculture
The collaboration between PVFCCo and TTC AgriS with research institutes is not only a success story in improving sugarcane productivity and quality, but also a clear demonstration of the potential of science and technology in promoting sustainable agriculture. The project has not only revitalized barren sugarcane fields, but also opened up new opportunities for farmers across sugarcane-growing regions.
This collaboration could open up new opportunities for similar projects, not only in sugarcane cultivation, but also in other crops. As science and technology continue to develop, the combination of scientific solutions and the dedication of farmers will become a powerful driving force in improving the quality of Vietnamese agriculture, creating agricultural products that not only meet domestic needs but can also reach the global market.
With confidence in sustainable development and the support of companies like PVFCCo and TTC AgriS, as well as agronomists, Vietnamese agriculture has not only achieved current success but is also preparing for future challenges and opportunities. These efforts will form a solid foundation for sustainable development, contributing to improved quality of life and prosperity for the country's agriculture.
