Exactly one year after winning the crown of Miss Ethnic Groups of Vietnam 2022, Tay girl Nong Thuy Hang carried out the project "The Many Colors of Wedding Costumes of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups" to honor and preserve the values ​​of ethnic costumes.

Preserving traditional beauty

Sharing about the new project, Nong Thuy Hang said she will carry out a series of activities such as taking fashion photos, photo exhibitions, workshops related to wedding customs, concepts of marriage... in the culture of 54 ethnic groups that the beauty queen will learn about and experience directly.

Over the past year, she has traveled to many lands to immerse herself in the lives of the people. From here, the beauty is excited to discover interesting cultural stories behind the costumes and wedding customs of the ethnic groups.

Responding to a question from Tuoi Tre Online about the accuracy of the cultural information used, Nong Thuy Hang said: "Even when the project was still an idea, I anticipated the difficulties.

Because traditional cultural issues require high accuracy, I have spent nearly a year researching a lot of documents, talking to cultural experts and working with the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups."

With her passion and love for traditional culture , Nong Thuy Hang determinedly carried out the project. Not only did she borrow costumes from the Museum of Vietnamese Ethnic Cultures, but the beauty born in 1999 also "called for help" from collectors and the public.

"Each nation has its own culture, in which costumes bear the mark, the breath and the soul. Not only to fulfill the mission, I love it so much and want to contribute to preserving that priceless asset, bringing it closer to international friends," the beauty queen commented.
