Improving product quality associated with building and promoting brands is an important goal that farmers in Vinh Thuy commune (Vinh Linh district) aim for and are determined to effectively implement. In fact, many new, large-scale agricultural models have been formed and developed in Vinh Thuy commune, creating many high-quality agricultural products, affirming their reputation and brand in the market, trusted and chosen by consumers in and outside the province, bringing high income to the people.

Having the opportunity to visit many typical economic models of Vinh Thuy commune people, we noticed many outstanding and impressive points about the spirit and aspiration to awaken the potential and advantages of the homeland, enrich ourselves, enrich the homeland and replicate for many other farmers to follow; solve many jobs for local workers.
A typical example that many people in Vinh Thuy commune have mentioned in recent times is Mr. Phan Ngoc Vu, Director of Bac Hien Luong Medicinal Materials Joint Stock Company. In 2021, he began converting the forest area to grow Melaleuca and Melaleuca five-veined for essential oil.
When the cajuput trees and five-veined cajuput trees were growing well, he continued to build a cajuput essential oil distillation facility with a 200 m2 factory, a 1,000 liter essential oil distillation machine, and a capacity of 10 tons of raw materials/day.
The total initial investment for this model is about 8 billion VND. Currently, Mr. Vu's model of growing cajuput and five-veined cajuput materials for essential oil has a total area of 140 hectares, of which 50 hectares are put into exploitation; exploitation time is from March to November every year; estimated revenue is 100 million VND/ha/year; creating jobs for 10 technical workers and many seasonal workers. Mr. Vu said that currently, essential oil products are evaluated as high quality, diverse in design to meet the needs of users, and are consumed in many provinces and large cities...
In the coming time, Mr. Vu plans to invest in more modern machinery, apply science and technology to create more high-quality essential oil products; guide and support local farmers to implement this model; and at the same time complete the procedures to request recognition of Bac Hien Luong essential oil products as OCOP certified.
In Vinh Thuy commune, there are many exemplary farmers, pioneers in building many highly effective agricultural economic models. Typical examples include the chicken farming model in joint venture with 3FHue Company to raise commercial chickens and crossbred fighting chickens of Ms. Ta Thi Ai Van; the freshwater fish farming model "river in pond" of Mr. Tran Cong Thao...
Many other farmers are also boldly building new economic models such as raising black apple snails, raising bees, growing pink bananas, Thai bananas... with great potential. Many typical agricultural products of Vinh Thuy commune have been brought to the market and trusted by consumers such as: red-fleshed dragon fruit of Tan Thuy Agricultural Products Cooperative is OCOP certified, currently covering an area of 12.5 hectares; incense products of Huong Thao Moc Cooperative are OCOP certified, annually producing more than 20,000 incense bundles and boxes, 3,000 incense bud products, with an estimated revenue of 800 million VND.
Continue to maintain agricultural models according to the chain and apply scientific and technical advances, smart production applications, biotechnology, and introduce high-quality and high-yield plant and animal varieties into production and breeding.
A number of production models transferring the application of science and technology have achieved high results, such as the model of producing new rice varieties in 4 cooperatives with an area of 30 hectares; the model of producing large-scale fields in Thuy Ba Ha with an area of 120 hectares; the model of producing organic rice and linking it along the value chain with a number of large enterprises with an area of 190.9 hectares; applying cluster seeders in Thuy Ba Tay cooperative...
Chairman of Vinh Thuy Commune Farmers' Association Le Tuan Anh said that the Commune Farmers' Association always focuses on implementing well the propaganda, mobilization and support work for farmers to change the structure of crops and livestock towards increasing productivity, product output and economic value; promoting the application of scientific and technical advances, linking with enterprises in solving product output, building and promoting agricultural products... to develop the commune's agriculture in a comprehensive, effective and sustainable direction.
Every year, the total cultivated area of the commune reaches more than 1,400 hectares, of which the rice area is about 1,123 hectares. Annual crops bring high economic efficiency, specifically developing cassava with an area of 260 hectares, estimated yield of 30 tons/ha, output of 7,800 tons; peanuts with an area of 8.3 hectares, yield of 30 quintals/ha, output of 24.9 tons; corn with an area of 10.7 hectares, yield of 80 quintals/ha, output of 85.6 tons. Fruit trees such as green-skinned grapefruit, oranges, red-fleshed dragon fruit... are invested in to effectively exploit the potential and advantages of the locality.
The whole commune has a total fruit tree area of 59.3 hectares, of which 48 hectares are for harvest, with an estimated revenue of 6.7 billion VND. Livestock farming has been invested in and developed effectively, bringing a stable source of income to the people.
The strength of rubber plantation continues to be promoted, with a total area of over 1,000 hectares, of which the exploited area is 980 hectares, with an estimated latex output of 4,945 tons. The total forestry area is about 1,586 hectares; in 2023, continue to care for and exploit 150 hectares of rotational plantation forests, with an estimated volume of 15,000 tons of wood; plant 150 hectares of concentrated forests on the exploited area; maintain the FSC forest planting area of about 120 hectares.
Many comprehensive agricultural economic models have been born and brought high economic efficiency. Currently, there are about 230 farm and family economic models. The number of farmer members recognized as good farmers and businessmen at all levels is increasing. Currently, there are 5 households achieving the title of good farmers and businessmen at the central level, 15 households achieving the title at the provincial level, 75 households achieving the title at the district level, and 470 households achieving the title at the commune level.
The dynamism, creativity and great determination of farmers have brought a "new breeze" to Vinh Thuy agriculture to develop steadily and towards even more impressive achievements in the future.
