Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Huong Hoa district Ho Van Toan said that the Farmers' Association of the district coordinated with the border guards in the area to sign a coordination program for the period 2019 - 2025 with the following contents: propagating and mobilizing farmers in border areas to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, raising the spirit of revolutionary vigilance, voluntarily participating in effectively implementing the movement "All people participate in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation".
Participate in building and consolidating clean and strong political bases in border areas; mobilize and guide farmers of all ethnic groups to implement socio-economic development programs in border areas; participate in building cultural life, preserving and promoting traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups and conventions and residential area regulations...
Thanks to the good implementation of propaganda and mobilization work, the association at all levels and border posts have helped cadres and farmer members raise their awareness and responsibility, focus on socio -economic development associated with participating in protecting border lines and landmarks; focus on developing family economy, eliminating hunger, reducing poverty, building cultural farmer families, participating in building cultural villages and building a strong Farmers' Association, contributing to stabilizing the socio-political situation, participating in building a solid national border defense.
Huong Hoa District Farmers' Association has directed and guided grassroots associations at all levels to coordinate with border posts to advise Party committees and authorities of border communes and towns to propagate and mobilize farmer members to convert crops and livestock, increase crop intensity, apply scientific and technical advances in production, increase added value per unit area, help each other to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty and enrich legitimately.
Implementing the integration of socio-economic development programs and projects, guiding households to develop economic models such as: organic coffee growing model; model combining experimental planting of disease-free cassava variety KM 140 in Huong Phung commune; elephant grass growing model in Huong Lap and Huong Viet communes; traditional tool weaving model and banana pressing processing in Lao Bao town and Tan Thanh commune...
Thanh Commune Farmers' Association joined with Thanh Border Guard Station to help laborers produce 35 working days; built 2 "Border Warm Houses" worth 128 million VND. Ba Tang and A Doi Commune Farmers' Association joined with Ba Tang Border Guard Station to support the construction of 2 "Border Warm Houses" for 2 families in especially difficult circumstances worth 120 million VND and organized to help laborers produce 95 working days.
Huong Phung Commune Farmers' Association coordinated with Huong Phung Border Guard Station to send officers to help people repair 2 houses whose roofs were blown off by storm No. 8 in 2021. Huong Lap and Huong Viet Commune Farmers' Associations joined Huong Lap Border Guard Station to guide households in developing models of growing elephant grass for livestock raising, bringing high economic efficiency...
The grassroots Farmers' Association also coordinates with the border guards to promote cultural, artistic, physical training and sports movements, effectively carry out the campaigns and movements of "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas", "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas", building "Cultural families", contributing to preserving the national cultural identity and the tradition of military-civilian solidarity, solidarity between ethnic groups in the border areas.
Border guards have proactively coordinated with farmers' associations in border communes and towns to advise Party committees and authorities to consolidate and improve the building of Party organizations, authorities, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations in villages in conjunction with maintaining security and order in villages.
Mobilize farmers to effectively implement the work of "Improving the quality and effectiveness of the movement of the entire people participating in protecting territorial sovereignty and national border security in the period of 2019-2029"; implement the movements: "The masses participate in self-management of border lines, landmarks and maintaining security and order in villages and hamlets in border areas", "Twinning villages and hamlets" on both sides of the border... contributing to the cause of building, managing and firmly protecting border sovereignty and security in the new situation.
Coordinate propaganda and mobilize farmer members and their families to actively participate in maintaining political stability and social order and safety; discover and provide border posts with valuable information sources, and participate in coordinating the resolution of incidents arising among the people.
Launch a movement for farmers to compete in developing production associated with protecting border lines and landmarks, participating in denouncing crimes, fighting to prevent and repel social evils; reforming and helping people who have made mistakes to integrate into the community; contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety in rural border areas.
“In the coming time, the District Farmers' Association will continue to coordinate with border guards to promote propaganda and mobilization work, creating trust among cadres, farmer members and the masses in the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, contributing to building increasingly strong Farmers' Associations at all levels, together with border guards to firmly build a mass movement to self-manage border lines and landmarks, maintain political stability in border areas, and firmly protect the sovereignty and security of the Fatherland's borders,” Mr. Ho Van Toan added.
