Households quickly reinforced and repaired barns and imported new chicken flocks to serve the year-end market.

For farms that have suffered heavy damage, farmers collect and dispose of dead poultry according to instructions. Poultry that has been flooded or caught cold must be warmed up, especially newly-introduced poultry...

Livestock households clean and disinfect barns and livestock equipment. Spray disinfectants on barns and livestock areas to kill pathogens. At the same time, provide food and water of appropriate quality and quantity for each age of poultry, and fully vaccinate livestock to prevent diseases.

Representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and officers of the Agricultural Service Center came to the scene to guide people in recovering livestock after the storm.

To prepare for herd restoration and production recovery, the Hai Duong Agricultural Extension Center recommends that breeders choose breeds with clear origins, provided by reputable establishments, with quarantine certificates; fully vaccinate according to regulations; and not re-herd without ensuring environmental protection and disease safety.
