Slag explosion at smelting tank in yellow phosphorus production area, 2 workers burned - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television

The area where the work accident occurred left two workers with burns.

According to the Lao Cai Economic Zone Management Board, the incident occurred at 10 p.m. on April 21. At the slag disposal area of ​​furnace No. 2 of the yellow phosphorus production complex, Southeast Asia Joint Stock Company, while workers were organizing the closure of the slag disposal, an explosion occurred in the slag quenching tank, causing hot water from the tank to splash onto two workers, Luong Xuan B, born in 1992, and Luong Van S, born in 1989, causing burns to the two workers.

Immediately after the accident, the technical and medical departments arrived to provide first aid and take the victims to hospital. Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital emergency, then continue to transfer to higher level for treatment.

Currently, Lao Cai provincial authorities are blocking off the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.
