We had the opportunity to meet Nhat Linh 2 years ago, when she was one of the outstanding young faces of Quang Tri province honored by the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union. Here, the story of her spirit of overcoming difficulties in studying received praise from everyone present in the hall. Born into a family with a father working as a long-distance driver, a mother busy selling wholesale at the market to earn a living, although her parents could not be there regularly to advise her on her studies, Nhat Linh was always aware of the importance of studying and tried to study well.

“I have an older brother, but due to illness, he had to drop out of school in the 10th grade. Therefore, the desire to become the pride of the family and help him complete his unfinished education has become the motivation that urges me to try my best,” Nhat Linh confided.

Not only is he a typical young face of the province in 2023, in recent years, he has also had many other impressive achievements such as: Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for winning First Prize in Mathematics at the Competition for Excellent Cultural Students of Grade 12 High School in the 2023 - 2024 school year; Certificate of Merit from the Executive Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Youth Union for his outstanding achievements in the Youth Union and school youth movement in the 2023 - 2024 school year; title of 3 Good Students in the 2022 - 2023 school year; Certificate of Merit from the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri for his high achievements in the Traffic Safety Competition for Tomorrow's Smiles; 11 consecutive years of achieving the title of excellent student in all aspects...

Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Linh High School Ta Viet Hung commented: “As Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union 12A1, Nhat Linh is not only good at studying but also active and enthusiastic in all activities launched by the school and the school’s Youth Union. A good student and hard-working, she also regularly guides and helps her weaker classmates to improve. We are very proud to have a well-rounded student like Nhat Linh.”

When asked about the secret to achieving high results in studying, Nhat Linh shared that she herself had struggled to find a suitable learning method for herself. In addition to studying in class and focusing on listening to teachers' lectures, she spent most of her time at home focusing on solving assigned exercises, researching more types of questions to practice and improve her skills.

Thanks to that, when the school and the Youth Union at all levels carry out activities, I can still actively participate without worrying about neglecting my studies. Every day, Nhat Linh also spends 30 minutes - 1 hour playing sports, exercising such as jogging and jumping rope. According to her, this helps her relieve stress, study pressure and improve her health.

Not only does she have good academic achievements, she is also an active Deputy Secretary of the 12A1 Youth Union, loved by teachers and admired by members. In particular, Nhat Linh is currently the head of two clubs with a large number of students participating.

The idea of ​​establishing the "Empathy" Club came to me from the first days I entered 10th grade, when I witnessed many friends around me, due to family problems, gradually becoming withdrawn or impulsive, with extreme behaviors.

With the active support of teachers and friends, Nhat Linh boldly established the club to help some students have the opportunity to connect and share, thereby having a more optimistic way of thinking and acting. This idea not only brought positive results in practice but also helped her win third prize at the Provincial Science and Technology Competition in the 2022-2023 school year.

For the Life Skills Club, there are currently about 30 members. Recently, Nhat Linh has coordinated with teachers and the club's management board to organize a number of meaningful collective activities, including calling for and mobilizing more than 10 million VND to bring a warmer Tet to children in the mountainous commune of Vinh O, Vinh Linh district. The head of the Life Skills Club of Vinh Linh High School shared: "I hope that the clubs will grow stronger and stronger, spreading positive values ​​to each club member in particular and the community in general."

Despite having such a proud record of achievements, Nhat Linh was very modest when talking about herself during the conversation. Because for her, the results are not only due to her own efforts but also the contributions and support of her teachers and friends.

Talking more about her future plans, she said she is trying harder for the "sprint" stage to be able to step into the university gate, soon achieve her dream of helping her brother complete his studies and making her family proud of her.
