Ninh Thuan promotes investment with Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Germany)

The Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan province hopes that the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry will connect and work with German businesses and investors to discuss investment cooperation in the province, contributing to promoting the economy between the province and the German market.

Continuing the Program to promote Vietnamese localities in the Netherlands - Germany, the delegation of Dak Nong, Ninh Binh, Ninh Thuan, Phu Yen provinces had a working session with the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) - Federal Republic of Germany.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Vice Chairman of Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee informed that in the past, the cooperation relationship between Ninh Thuan and Germany was still limited as there were currently no investment projects of German enterprises in the province.

Mr. Bien said that the fields suitable for the investment calling orientation of Ninh Thuan province include energy, renewable energy, high-quality tourism, processing industry, high-tech agriculture, high-quality human resource training, green growth, and climate change adaptation. Especially, reducing emissions and enhancing forestry finance through the commercial transfer of forest carbon credits, contributing to the livelihoods of forest owners...

At the meeting, Mr. Johannes Richter, Director of International Business for the Indian and Asian markets of IHK, said that IHK currently has about 104,000 members; of which 22,000 companies have international business activities, 250 Vietnamese companies are doing business in Frankfurt, which is the area with the largest business community in Germany.

According to the IHK representative, Frankfurt is the financial capital of Germany, one of the major banking and financial centers in Europe. In addition, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is the largest in Germany and Frankfurt is also one of the most important financial centers in the world.

At the same time, Mr. Johannes Richter emphasized that IHK was very impressed with the economic development of Vietnam, including the localities participating in the meeting; especially Ninh Thuan with new fields such as energy, renewable energy, aiming to reduce emissions and increase forestry finance through the transfer of forest carbon credits. In the coming time, as a focal point, IHK will act as a bridge to introduce, promote, and promote exchanges and investments between the two sides.

Previously, the delegation of Ninh Thuan province and the three provinces of Hoa Binh, Dak Nong, and Phu Yen visited and worked with the Minister of Finance of Hessen State; the Minister in charge of Federal, European and International Affairs of Hessen State; Precitec Company; Firma Aqseptence Technology Group to survey, learn, and introduce potentials and opportunities between the parties in the coming time.

Ninh Thuan has received 3 non-refundable aid projects from German non-governmental organizations with a total aid capital of 57,328 USD; received Official Development Assistance (ODA) capital from Germany to implement the Provincial Vocational College Upgrading Project invested by Ninh Thuan Vocational College, with a total capital of 22.4 million USD (implemented in the period 2011-2018).
