Ninh Thuan submits for approval Thanh Son Airport Planning documents
Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee has established a socialization project and detailed planning for Thanh Son airport to submit to the Ministry of Transport for consideration and approval.

Mr. Nguyen Van Vinh, Director of Ninh Thuan Department of Transport confirmed that the province has completed the Thanh Son Airport Planning dossier and submitted it to the Ministry of Transport for consideration and approval.
According to the Ninh Thuan Department of Transport, in 2024, the consulting unit, ADCC Aviation Construction Design and Consulting Company Limited, completed the survey work, completed the initial and mid-term reports on the Thanh Son Airport Planning dossier.
The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province submitted to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam comments on the final report on the Thanh Son Airport Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 in Document No. 4748/UBND-KTTH, dated October 14, 2024.
Along with the detailed planning, according to information from the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, the province also established a socialization project to promote and call for investment when conditions are met. In 2025, the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee aims to complete procedures for selecting investors to invest in Thanh Son Airport under public-private partnership.
Along with the airport planning, according to the report of the Ninh Thuan Department of Transport, in 2024, the Department coordinated with the Vietnam Maritime Administration to complete the Ca Na Integrated Seaport Planning in the Detailed Planning of the seaport group (the Ministry of Transport submitted to the Prime Minister in Document No. 7713/TTr-BGTVT, dated July 19, 2024 on approving the detailed planning of ports and seaport areas).
At the same time, the Department of Transport has coordinated with the Maritime Administration to deploy the Planning for the development of land and seaport waters in parallel with the Detailed Planning for the seaport group (After the Prime Minister approves the Detailed Planning for the seaport group, the Ministry of Transport will approve the Detailed Planning for the development of land and seaport waters in Ninh Thuan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050).
Regarding Ca Na General Port, on September 20, 2024, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province issued Decision No. 532, approving the policy of adjusting the completion time of Ca Na General Port Project Phase 1 (berths 1A and 1B) in June 2027.
In addition, on August 15, 2024, the People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Transport to advise on the proposal of the Ca Na Port Project Phase 2 - Ca Na General Port Area (capable of receiving ships with a tonnage of up to 300,000 DWT) to call for investment according to the opinion of the Ministry of Transport; currently the two departments are coordinating the implementation.
Currently, Ninh Thuan is continuing to promote investment in building a dynamic route connecting Ca Na General Port to the Southern Central Highlands region to serve the needs of trade, transportation of goods, Tan Rai and Nhan Co bauxite ore (with a volume of goods of about 1.2 million tons/year), import and export of agricultural products of the Central Highlands provinces to the port and connecting industrial parks, developing services.
