Ninh Hoa: Orientation for development of key industrial

According to the recently approved Adjustment Project of Ninh Hoa Town Master Plan to 2040, Ninh Hoa Town will form modern industrial urban areas and international-class tourist areas; at the same time, ensuring the socio -economic life of the people and synchronous, high-quality infrastructure development.

According to the approved project, the existing Ninh Hoa urban center will be an area focused on developing a bustling urban space, green natural landscape, associated with high-quality public space. The open-design Dinh riverside street will promote advantages for developing services, tourism , creating a highlight for community exchange, entertainment, sightseeing... The northern area of the town is the focus of industrial and seaport development, focusing on container transit ports, general ports, industrial - warehouse complexes exploiting the advantages of deep-water ports. The industrial - urban - tourism space is harmoniously interwoven with mangrove ecology, coastal hills, creating a sustainable ecosystem. The southern area, bordering Nha Trang city, will form modern service - tourism urban areas, national and international scale. In which, Nha Phu lagoon plays a central role in the landscape, creating a unique identity for the coastal urban area. Some existing aquaculture areas will be rezoned to make way for urban development.

The west of Ninh Hoa will be planned as an ecological urban area, reserved for urban and industrial development. The riverside space will be exploited as a green park, a center for ecological residential areas along the river. In addition, there are large-scale industrial clusters along important traffic axes such as: North-South Expressway, Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway, National Highway 26... along with a system of housing and essential infrastructure serving residents and workers.

Developing 13 urban subdivisions

In the next development phase, Ninh Hoa aims to build a green, smart, sustainable urban area, suitable for the requirements of attracting investment, developing technical and social infrastructure. Accordingly, 13 urban subdivisions are formed, closely following two main spearheads: Urban areas associated with industry, services and urban areas serving tourism and resort development.

Accordingly, some typical subdivisions include: The new urban center area along Nha Phu lagoon is more than 1,800 hectares wide, with a population of about 9,000 - 11,000 people; prioritizing the development of trade, services, and tourism along the lagoon and associated with forest landscapes; a center for organizing events, international conferences, and regional marine sports. The urban, service, and tourism area south of Hon Heo mountain is more than 4,200 hectares wide, with a population of about 8,500 - 10,000 people; is an ecological resort area associated with mountains and sea. In industrial areas such as Ninh Xuan, Ninh Sim, Ninh Thuy, Ninh Phuoc..., large-scale, modern urban - industrial areas will be developed, with synchronous infrastructure for housing, transportation, electricity and water, education, health care, culture, sports...

Planning of industrial zones.

The planning covers the entire area of the town of nearly 118,000 hectares. Of which, urban construction land is about 20,486 hectares (17%), the rest is agricultural land and other functions of more than 97,000 hectares (83%). According to the planning, by 2030, the town will meet the standards of a type III urban area; by 2040, the expected population size will reach about 450,000 people.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hai - Chairman of Ninh Hoa Town People's Committee said that the new planning project is consistent with the development orientation of the province and Van Phong Economic Zone. Accordingly, Ninh Hoa will have modern industrial urban areas, be a center of marine industry, shipbuilding, supporting industry and processing products from the marine economy; be a trade hub with the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast through a synchronous and modern transportation system of roads, waterways and airways. At the same time, this place is also a regional, national and international tourism service center.
