Ninh Binh: Increasing enrollment quota for grade 10 in the 2024 school year

Accordingly, the Departmentof Education and Training of Ninh Binh province assigned the enrollment target for the 2024-2025 school year to increase by 3 classes compared to the 2023-2024 school year. Of which, Trang An Pedagogical Practice High School increased by 1 class; Yen Khanh A High School increased by 1 class; Ta Uyen High School increased by 1 class).

The provincial Department of Education and Training requires non-public high schools, provincial Center for Continuing Education, Information Technology and Foreign Languages, and foreign language and continuing education centers of districts and cities to: conduct enrollment according to training needs and conditions of facilities and teaching staff of the unit; develop an enrollment plan and report to the Department of Education and Training at least 30 days before implementing enrollment.

The total enrollment target is 10,399 students, accounting for 69.9% of the new enrollment rate compared to grade 9 students.

Admission to grade 10 for the 2024-2025 school year in Ninh Binh province has many new points compared to the 2023-2024 school year such as: Admission subjects, admission within the whole province for students residing or studying in grade 9 in Ninh Binh province.

Specifically, for public high schools in Ninh Binh province, the entrance exam method will be applied. Only one entrance exam for grade 10 high school in the 2024-2025 school year will be held for all public high schools in the province, called the 2024-2025 Grade 10 High School Entrance Exam.

Each public high school organizes an examination site. Candidates registering for Luong Van Tuy Specialized High School take the exam at Luong Van Tuy Specialized High School examination site.

For private high schools; Center for Continuing Education, Information Technology and Foreign Languages of Ninh Binh province, Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education of districts/cities in this province will apply the admission method, the Department of Education and Training of this province will have separate instructions.

Enrollment is conducted throughout the province for students residing or studying in grade 9 in Ninh Binh province, who have graduated from junior high school under the general education program or continuing education program and are of the age specified in Article 33 of the High School Charter.

Students who do not reside and do not study in grade 9 in Ninh Binh province can register for the exam if: The father or mother is a civil servant or official in Party organizations or State agencies in Ninh Binh province. Or the father or mother is a member of the People's Armed Forces stationed in Ninh Binh province. In addition to the above cases, the Director of the Department of Education and Training of this province will consider and decide.

The exam is expected to take place in June 2024. The Department of Education and Training will issue a separate notice on the official exam date.

Regarding the exam, to be consistent with the new general education program at high school level and to reduce pressure on students, this year candidates registering for the exam and admission to mass high schools will have a reduced number of exam subjects; the time for the third exam will be reduced; and the announcement of the third exam will be earlier.
