Affirming the contribution of the press to the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council emphasized that responding to the third Dien Hong Award is not only the responsibility of the press agencies, but also requires more active coordination and participation of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committees of the People's Councils of districts, cities and relevant agencies.
At the conference, delegates shared their experiences participating in national journalism awards, especially the difficulties in approaching topics, how to implement topics, and suggestions and recommendations in coordinating the implementation of topics.
Ninh Binh responds to the third Dien Hong Award in 2025.
In response to the third Dien Hong Award, the Standing Committee of the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to direct and guide local news and press agencies to widely disseminate the purpose, content and requirements of the Award, thereby attracting the attention of press agencies and the whole society to the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
It is recommended that the provincial press agencies, the Provincial Journalists Association, and the Provincial Literature and Arts Association widely disseminate the Award to reporters, members, and collaborators to actively implement and participate in the Award. Participating works need to closely follow the key tasks, focusing on reflecting and analyzing in depth the activities of the National Assembly, People's Councils at all levels, and elected representatives in all fields. In addition to selecting and implementing topics, the provincial press agencies need to research and select strong press genres to participate in the Award; strengthen coordination with the Central press agencies to create a combined strength to participate in the Award.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council expressed confidence that with enthusiasm, responsibility and determination, Ninh Binh will make positive contributions to the overall success of the Award. At the same time, it affirmed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Committees of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committees of the People's Councils of districts and cities will create the most favorable conditions according to the requests of the press agencies during the process of participating in the Award.
The Dien Hong Award is an annual award presented to outstanding press works about the National Assembly and People's Councils (PCs) organized by the Office of the National Assembly in coordination with the Central Propaganda Department, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Vietnam Journalists Association, Vietnam Television, and the Hanoi People's Council.
After 2 years of implementation, Dien Hong Award has become an annual national press award writing about the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels.
In 2025, the name of the Award is: "The third National Press Award on the National Assembly and People's Councils - 2025", abbreviated as the third Dien Hong Award - 2025.
According to the rules, the works participating in the third Dien Hong Award - 2025 must be written in Vietnamese (or ethnic minority languages, foreign languages translated into Vietnamese), published and broadcast from December 6, 2023 to November 20, 2024 in newspapers, radio stations, and magazines licensed by competent authorities to operate press.
Entries must be published, posted, broadcast for the first time, original, unedited, unedited and unreproduced.
Time for receiving works: From January 5, 2024 (the date of launching the Prize) to November 22, 2024 (according to the postmark). The third Dien Hong Prize will be awarded in January 2025.
The Prize Structure includes: 1 Special Prize: 150 million VND; 8 A Prizes, each worth 95 million VND; 15 B Prizes, each worth 45 million VND; 20 C Prizes, each worth 30 million VND and 40 Encouragement Prizes, each worth 10 million VND.
For groups: The Organizing Committee will award the “Excellent” Prize to 20 outstanding press agencies and agencies/units that actively participate in the Award; each prize is worth 10 million VND. In addition, 2 Prizes will be awarded to press agencies whose works have made a good impression according to the Award Judging Council’s vote (if any); each prize is worth 20 million VND.
