The short art film project Nien Hoa was officially released to the audience on the evening of April 18. The film is a non-profit project in a series of short films combining the Vietnamese costume brand "Hoa Nien - Beautiful Years" and ROOFILM, marking a new step in promoting traditional culture through the cinematic language of a team of young people.
Nien Hoa is not only a short art film project, but also the passion of those who love Vietnamese culture in general, and Southern culture in particular, wishing to preserve and spread precious traditional values through simple beauty, seemingly familiar but also extremely novel in approach and exploitation.
The film is a slice of life of people in an old-style house, located in the middle of a lush coconut forest in the Mekong Delta. The film is inspired and derived from the unique costumes and architecture of the people here during the transitional period: Asian rain - European wind full of change. This period witnessed a rich cultural exchange, creating a very unique cultural identity for the Southern land.
The emotions of that beauty are placed in the slices of the simple life of the main characters, thereby adding to the love and appreciation for the beauty of the Southern land. The short film cleverly integrates daily activities, beautiful moments of the people of the Mekong Delta, the music "touches" each frame, creating a vivid picture of Southern culture.
One of the factors that contributed to the success of Nien Hoa is the special filming location. The production team was lucky to find a house, the Tran Family Temple in Mo Cay town ( Ben Tre ), and received enthusiastic consent from the family of Mr. Tran Huu Phu - "the painter of the coconut land". The house and the film share a common spirit: the next generations always show gratitude to the previous generations in their own way.

The female lead role in Nien Hoa is played by young actress Ngoc Xuan. Born in 1999, originally from Tien Giang , Ngoc Xuan played the main role of Mien in the movie Ngay Xua Co Mot Chuyen Tinh - a work adapted from the novel by writer Nguyen Nhat Anh.
The beauty of Southern women in Ao Ba Ba, Ao Dai, and black hair tied behind their heads has become an iconic image in Vietnamese culture. And this image is portrayed very appropriately by Ngoc Xuan. Her delicate face with big, round, black eyes, gentle smile, and gentle, graceful demeanor give the main character a special vitality.
Actor Duy Luan also had an impressive performance in the artistic short film, with an evocative, haunting ending, tinged with a bit of mystery.

In addition to traditional costumes, Nien Hoa cleverly incorporates modern elements, demonstrating the cultural exchange during the transitional period. This is not only a way to enrich the image of the film, but also a profound message about the connection between the past and the present, between tradition and modernity.
