The house of Ms. Vi Thi Bien's family in Lang Ken village, Thanh Lam commune (Nhu Xuan) has been newly built, completed and put into use.

Thanh Lam Commune (Nhu Xuan) has 680 households, with 3,206 people, of which 75 are poor households, accounting for 11.3%. Implementing Directive No. 22, Thanh Lam has 19 households supported to build new houses and 3 other households supported to build new houses according to Decision No. 1719/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, period 2021-2030.

Currently, the commune has started construction on 20/22 houses and handed over 9 completed houses, striving to complete the entire project by June 30, 2025. A typical example is the family of Ms. Kim Thi Chuyen, in Lang Lu village, who built a 112m2 house from a support fund of 80 million VND, 20 million VND her family saved and 10 million VND in support and help from her clan. Similarly, Ms. Vi Thi Bien in Lang Ken village built a 128m2 house from a support fund of 40 million VND according to Decision 1719/QD-TTg, 10 million VND in support from World Vision, 15 million VND in support and help from her clan and additional loans from the social policy bank. Thanks to Directive No. 22 and other policies, the poverty rate of Thanh Lam commune has decreased sharply from 25.03% (in 2023) to 11.03% (by the end of 2024).

In 2024, Ai Thuong commune (Ba Thuoc) eliminated more than 50 temporary and severely damaged houses, contributing to the commune's completion of the NTM target in 2024. Mr. Truong Van Kim's household in My village is one of the poor households supported to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. His family received 40 million VND from the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction and 40 million VND from Directive No. 22. Together with 70 million VND of family savings, support from relatives and 30 million VND of loans from the social policy bank, Mr. Kim's family was able to build a spacious house with an area of ​​about 65 square meters. Along with Mr. Kim's household, many other poor households, after receiving support to build new houses, voluntarily applied to escape poverty. In Bai village, Phuc Thinh commune (Ngoc Lac), Ms. Le Thi Sen, over 80 years old, lives with her 53-year-old daughter in a dilapidated house, and received 80 million VND in support in August 2024. With the money she saved and borrowed, after only 2 months of construction, the new house with an area of ​​50m2 and a total cost of 170 million VND was completed. Welcoming the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025 in the new house, Ms. Sen emotionally shared: "The worries and obsessions every time there is a storm or the cold winter night are no longer there, I can rest assured to live happily and healthily for the rest of my life."

Implementing Directive No. 42/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on accelerating the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide and Directive No. 22 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, in the two years of 2024-2025, our province aims to mobilize support for the construction of 5,000 or more houses for poor households, policy households, and households with housing difficulties, with a support level of 80 million VND/house. For households benefiting from the National Target Program, the support level is 40 million VND/house. As of April 14, the total budget received through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at 3 levels (province, district, commune) is 619 billion 429 million VND. The total budget allocated at all levels is 452 billion 620 million VND. Accordingly, 4,328 households received financial support (3,772 new households; 556 households were repaired). Of which, 11 mountainous districts had 3,176 households supported, accounting for 73.38%. Support for repairing and building new houses has helped households have stable housing, feel secure in working, producing, developing the economy, rising out of poverty sustainably and becoming rich legitimately.
