Stage 7 from Vinh City ( Nghe An ) to Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh) is the longest stage of the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup - Ton Dong A 2025, with windy terrain and the challenge of Ngang Pass.

Right from the first kilometers, the race was exciting with a series of attacks. Approaching the sprint point 1 in Cam Xuyen district (Ha Tinh), a group of about 16 riders successfully escaped. Rider Ha Thanh Tam (Pelio Kenda Dong Nai ) excellently won at this bonus point.

Continuing the momentum, Ha Thanh Tam continued to take the lead at sprint point 2 at Ky Anh Post Office , after the leading group lost nearly half of its number.

When the race reached Ngang Pass, taking advantage of his opponents' hesitation, Bui Duy Tung (Hanoi) conquered the first peak and temporarily held the red polka dot jersey for the first mountain king of this year's tournament.

After passing the pass, the situation became more exciting when a group of 6 riders escaped and created a large gap with less than 40km to go. In that situation, the Vinh Long team started to accelerate strongly, leading the large group to narrow the gap.

Their efforts paid off as the pack regrouped into a large group, preparing for a race to the finish. With full support from his teammates, Nicholas Kergozou was put in the perfect position for the final 200m to make the decisive sprint.

Despite chasing fiercely alone, Nguyen Van Binh (HCMC - New Group) still could not surprise the strength of the New Zealand racer.

This is the third time Nicholas Kergozou has won a stage at the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup, helping him solidify his overall green jersey. The yellow jersey after 7 stages still belongs to Loic Desriac (Domesco Pharmaceutical Dong Thap), who has been playing consistently since the beginning of the tournament.

Tomorrow (April 11), the racers will continue to compete in stage 8, 171.5km long from Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh) to Hue City. This promises to be an exciting race as the teams begin to calculate for the important stage of the tournament.
