After a two-day break, the atmosphere at stage 3 of the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup - Ton Dong A 2025 around Hoan Kiem Lake with a 42.5km route became extremely exciting, as the teams simultaneously increased their speed right from the first laps.

The continuous attacks caused the group to split and regroup many times, giving the capital's audience breathtaking competition.

At the first sprint point, Nguyen Van Binh (HCMC – New Group) was the winner. However, in the second sprint, Nicholas Kergozou demonstrated his superior sprinting ability to finish first, creating a great psychological advantage for the Vinh Long racing team.

The race before the finish line became even more exciting when Loic Desriac (Domesco Pharmacy Dong Thap) – the rider holding the yellow jersey – took the initiative to attack when less than 1km from the finish line. This was a reasonable decision because in terms of sprinting, he would be at a disadvantage against Nicholas Kergozou.

With full support from his teammates, Loic Desriac took the lead, creating a significant gap. But in the end, all those efforts still could not overcome Nicholas Kergozou's lightning-fast sprint in the final meters.

The New Zealand foreigner followed closely and passed Desriac right before the finish line, bringing a dramatic victory to team 620 Chau Thoi Vinh Long.

Also at this race, sponsor Ton Dong A donated 100 million VND to the Vietnam Children's Fund and 50 million VND in scholarships for students in difficult circumstances.

The race in Hanoi also marks the 65th anniversary of the three-city friendship: Hanoi - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City, associated with the cross-Vietnam journeys of this traditional tournament.

Mr. Nguyen Trinh Vu - Director of Ton Dong A Bac Ninh Company Limited - said: "Ton Dong A understands that effective production and business always go hand in hand with the responsibility to contribute to the community through social programs implemented by the company throughout each year with a total budget of more than 50 billion VND. Particularly for the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup 2025, Ton Dong A has allocated 2.5 billion VND for charity activities, towards the community."

On April 7, the racers will enter stage 4 from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa with a planned route of 115km. This promises to continue to be a challenging race for the teams competing for individual and team titles.
