In Vietnam, the semiconductor industry and core digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data, etc. are being strongly developed by the Government. Many leading technology corporations in the world have plans to develop research centers, expand investment, business, and production in Vietnam, including the world's number 1 technology corporation NVIDIA. In that context, what are the opportunities for those studying information technology and technology industries?
In the consulting program, experts shared about the importance of information technology and technology majors, especially artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, big data... in the context of the current technology boom. There is also information about the trending technology majors being trained at universities. Why have these majors been opened at schools in the past 2 years? Many large technology companies in the world are coming to Vietnam, the demand for human resources is great, but to meet their requirements, what do students need to equip themselves with?

Dr. Vo Thanh Hai, Permanent Vice President of Duy Tan University, shared about the importance of information technology and technology majors, especially AI, semiconductors, big data... in the context of the current technology boom in the world. After 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out globally, information technology in general plays a key role in promoting all activities of life; the role of AI becomes even more prominent. Therefore, to realize the era of national development in the coming time, the role of this field is even more important.
Since 2020, the Government has issued decisions, projects, and dispatches to promote high-tech human resources in the semiconductor and AI fields. In particular, by 2030, the aim is to train at least 50,000 engineers to serve in the semiconductor industry... This affects the orientation of university training and creates opportunities for learners to access and develop in this field.
