Reflections from the letter "I hope parents don't mind October 20th"

Following the events of the past few days, a letter from a teacher to parents with the content "hoping parents do not worry about October 20" has become a hot topic of discussion on social networks. Not only is it a gentle reminder, this story also reflects many thoughtful aspects about the pressure in the educational environment, for both teachers and parents.

No one knows when, but giving gifts to teachers on holidays and Tet has become a common practice, but at the same time it also unintentionally creates unnecessary pressure for families with young children going to school. Most parents have to spend a lot of time researching and buying gifts that are valuable enough to show respect for teachers, but not too expensive to avoid being misunderstood as negative.

Reflections from the letter

On the other hand, teachers also fall into an awkward situation when receiving gifts, which can unintentionally affect the relationship between teachers and students, and even risk arousing negative thoughts from both sides.

Therefore, the small but meaningful action of a teacher in Binh Dinh, through a heartfelt letter, cleverly resolved that concern. This teacher emphasized the value of the teacher-student relationship above all else, and at the same time reaffirmed that respect and affection can be expressed in many ways, not necessarily through material gifts.

The letter was widely spread on social networks and received many compliments from readers.

If we look at the teaching profession from a purely economic perspective, like many other professions in society, ignoring the noble spiritual values, the reality is quite cruel, the salary and bonus situation of teachers can be said to be not commensurate with the effort and responsibility they put in. Many parents also simply think that taking advantage of events and holidays to have an excuse to support teachers, not to take advantage of the opportunity to please the people who are day and night nurturing knowledge for their children.

Parents always understand the silent sacrifices of teachers. In many countries around the world, teachers are paid very high salaries compared to the general level, along with more benefits than other common professions. In our country, unfortunately, the salary of teachers is quite modest, leading to a situation where some good teachers have to quit their jobs or take on extra jobs to make ends meet.

This is something we should ponder!
