Images of some "invisible" houses in the mountains and forests of Ha Giang have been causing a "storm" on the internet in the past few days.

According to PV's research VietNamNet , the houses decorated with eye-catching murals are part of a project and plan to preserve traditional indigenous cultural architecture and develop tourism potential, attracting visitors to Ha Giang by local leaders.

Sharing with reporters, Mr. Hung Duong (born in 1989, from Thai Nguyen), a painter participating in the project, said that the locality is implementing renovation, painting murals and creating landscapes at a number of houses along National Highway 4C in the areas of Pa Vi and Pai Lung communes of Meo Vac district.

This activity aims to create a green, clean and beautiful landscape associated with preserving local traditional cultural architecture as well as attracting a large number of visitors to the land at the head of the Fatherland.

The houses along National Highway 4C, the section connecting Meo Vac district to Dong Van district, have been renovated and decorated with beautiful murals.

From the strokes to the colors, all are skillfully created by talented craftsmen so that the image appears realistic, in harmony with the surrounding context, creating a feeling of being invisible in nature.

"Some houses that are under construction and have not been completed will be supported by the local authorities to be renovated and have murals painted for free. The theme of these murals is also inspired by the natural scenery of the rocky plateau. Ha Giang, we must make each painting in harmony with the surrounding context, creating a feeling of being imprinted in the mountains and forests of our homeland," he said.

The paintings recreate the countryside scene with familiar details such as yin-yang tiles, stone fences, sa moc trees, corn fields, etc.

Mr. Hung also revealed that because the construction conditions here are very difficult, they have to increase the number of workers to complete each project in about 2-3 days. This helps tourists to admire the unique mural houses as soon as possible when traveling from Meo Vac district to Dong Van district, especially during the Khau Vai festival.

The unique and colorful murals not only contribute to beautifying the landscape, human life and housing architecture culture of Meo Vac people, but also help visitors better understand their homeland and the lifestyle of the highland people.
