Promoting the pioneering and volunteering role, the Youth Union chapters at all levels in the province have made efforts and joined hands with all levels, sectors and localities to support the repair and construction of new houses for poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households.
In the new warm and spacious house built by the Provincial Youth Union and other units and benefactors with a budget of 100 million VND from the "Red Scarf House" program, the life of Nguyen Ngoc Lien's family in Hung Guot village, Dao Tu commune (Tam Duong) has gradually stabilized.
Nguyen Ngoc Lien emotionally shared: “The support from the Provincial Youth Union and benefactors not only helps my family stabilize their lives but also kindles faith and hope. I promise to study hard to not disappoint the care and help of the Provincial Youth Union and benefactors.”
Promoting the spirit of "Youth volunteers for community life", every year, the Provincial Youth Union issues plans and guides Youth Union chapters at all levels to implement youth projects and tasks associated with the goal of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; mobilizing resources, contributing efforts and funds to repair and build new "Houses of Charity", "Houses of Red Scarf", "Houses of Gratitude".
In 2024, the Youth Union at all levels supported the construction and handover of 6 charity houses to help policy families, poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult housing circumstances to settle down and strive to improve their lives.
To concretize the direction of the Provincial Youth Union in association with the theme of Youth Month 2025 "Youth is proud, firmly believes in the Party", Binh Xuyen District Youth Union has launched a campaign for cadres, union members, youth, people and businesses, mass organizations, political and social organizations to support resources to help poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households repair and build new houses to ensure living conditions and stabilize their lives.
In March, Binh Xuyen District Youth Union mobilized 70 million VND to support Mr. Nguyen Van Tuu's family, in An Lao village, Son Loi commune, a near-poor household with difficult circumstances, to build a new house.
Secretary of Binh Xuyen District Youth Union Le Hong Quan said: “According to the review, in 2025, Binh Xuyen district has 36 poor and near-poor households in need of building new or repairing houses. Most of the households have limited economic conditions, so they face many difficulties in building or repairing houses.
Therefore, in addition to the support of the province and locality, the District Youth Union has closely followed the direction of the Provincial Youth Union and the District People's Committee to guide Youth Union bases to promote propaganda and call on organizations, businesses, and philanthropists to support funding for house construction and repair.
At the same time, mobilize union members and youth of communes, towns, agencies, units and enterprises to participate in providing working days in the process of building gratitude houses for families in especially difficult circumstances who are unable to organize repairs or build new houses themselves.
According to the review and statistics, the whole province currently has 536 poor households and households with difficult housing conditions that need support to build new or repair houses. With enthusiasm and determination, the youth union members in the province have been and are continuing to mobilize social resources, contribute working days to help families settle down, overcome difficulties, and stabilize their lives. Thereby, affirming the pioneering role of the young generation in building a rich, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
