Banks with the highest savings interest rates for 24-month terms

24-month interest rate up to 6.5%/year

According to a survey by PV Lao Dong on October 26, 2023 with 25 banks in the system, the highest interest rate for a 24-month term is at 6.5%/year, belonging to PVcomBank. Currently, PVcomBank is listing the highest interest rate at 6.5%/year for terms of 13 months, 18, 24, 36, 48, 60 months.

Following are some banks such as NCB; Kienlong Bank (6.4%/year), CB (6.3%/year).

With 400 million, how to save and receive interest?

To calculate interest on savings deposits at the bank, you can apply the formula:

Interest = deposit x interest rate %/12 x number of months of deposit

For example, if you deposit 500 million VND for a 24-month term at bank A with an interest rate of 6.5%/year, you can receive: 400 million VND x 6.5%/12 x 24 = 52 million VND.

With the same amount of money, if you deposit it in bank B, for a 24-month term with an interest rate of 5.3%, the interest you receive will be: 400 million VND x 5.3%/12 x 24 = 42.4 million VND.
