In addition, over the years, the museum has intensified its research and collection of documents, artifacts, records, and images about the war to protect the northern border. Visiting the museum, Ms. Nong Thi Thuy Linh (residing in Dai Thang Hamlet, Chi Lang Ward, Lang Son Province) shared that she came to see the exhibits firsthand, such as large artillery shell casings, B40 guns, gas masks, signal horns, steel helmets, baseball caps, ammunition pouches, etc. Besides that, some images of soldiers fighting to protect the northern border in Lang Son helped her visualize the heroic and arduous fighting process of her ancestors. These are important documents that help people feel even more proud of the rich historical traditions of their homeland. Ms. Linh shared that the images, artifacts, and mementos from the 1979 border defense war in the North, which are preserved and displayed, not only contribute to "illuminating" history but also express the profound gratitude of the Party Committee, military, and people of Lang Son to the previous generations. This helps people feel more proud of their traditions and strive to build a more prosperous and beautiful homeland.
